I'm sure there are plenty of right answers. Are we mind readers? I haven't checked his resume but Fritzie Zivic comes to mind.

Is it Buster Douglas he beat Trevor Berbick, Greg Page, Mike Tyson and Oliver McCall, of course they weren't all champions when he defeated them, but he certainly ran hot and cold.

McCall himself defeated : Lewis , Holmes , Maskaev and Bruce Seldon.
and he ran hot and cold too , although never too cold.

and then you have tua with : Ruiz , Moorer , Maskaev and some (but not me) will say Rahman

So many people wanted McCall to do better in his career. Even so, he did have some good wins.

No ,not Fritzie, but the question leads you to the right boxer.
Hint--Zivic was part of the answer...He knew the man...

Eddie Cool, who beat Benny Bass, Fritzie Zivic, Lou Ambers and Freddie Cochrane, PLUS 2 Jr. World Title holders in Frankie Klick and Johnny Jadick.

If he beat 6 (and not 4), how can he be the right answer?

Junior Titles weren't recognized as they are today. Burt is an Old School Boxing guy and in the question he had "but ran hot and cold," like in Eddie Cool.
