That's right the day of reckoning is almost here boxing fans and Carl The Cobra Froch will add another feather in his already impressive hat. And that unlucky victim this time is the Viking Vixxen Mikkel Kessler. I honestly believe that Kessler will be game early until Froch starts to foul and rough him up on the inside at that point the robotic Kessler will be lost. He can't fight in a non conventional way he's a rhytmn 1-2 fighter and anything that takes him away from this he isn't programed for, as shown in the Ward fight. Froch will take Kessler to the deep waters and drown him. Carl Froch is too much of an old school warrior and too strong both physically and mentally for the mentally weak Kessler. No way can Kessler stand up to his attack for a full 12 and he will melt down. The cobra 10th round TKO with Kessler quitting on his stool.:deal
I'm gonna have to dissagree with you on this one Pimp. I see Kessler winning an 8-4 type of decision. Froch's only hope is a KO. No way in hell is he going to get a decision against Kessler, in Denmark no less. I never like to pick a guy who I don't think can win a decision.
I've been going back and forth with this fight. I'm kind of leaning towards Froch at the moment, for some of the very reasons you mentioned.
I think it's 50-50. If Kessler finds a home for his 1-2, he should win big. On the other hand, Kessler seems to have serious problems with guys who are awkward.
Kessler is a good boxer but he's there to hit and I don't think he will cope with the type of pressure that Froch brings. I think he'll start strong, get the crowd "ooh"-ing and "ahh"-ing, but Froch's will, strength and determination will outlast Kessler's skills. As soon as Froch gets into gear and starts landing, Kessler will not be able to keep up the pace. Froch's chin will withstand and his heart will give him another win.
I got kessler by midround stoppage. First abraham, then pavlik, now froch (and fans) will have some of that good ol fashioned humble pie.
You're going to be in for a big surprise. Froch may get the KO, but when and if he does, he'll also be leading on the scorecards by a relatively wide margin. Froch will control Kessler with his jab. Kessler is too straight up and has little upward mobility. Froch will find him easy to hit, and Kessler will struggle to get inside. And even if Kessler does manage to get inside, his game is weak and Froch will likely tie him up or exchange with Kessler where it's about 50/50, with maybe a slight edge towards Froch. Froch is not getting enough credit for his boxing ability. He fought an even fight with Dirrell who is much more versatile than Kessler.
I think Kessler would beat Froch if the fight was only a chess match from the outside. His jab is sharper and quicker and he lines up the right hand very well if he establishes the jab first. Kessler will want to tie Froch up if they ever get close. Froch can bully people a little bit from inside, even if it isnt his ideal range. Kessler can't do **** from up close.
