Dawson vs Pascal

I think this is going to be a very good fight to watch for the fans because Pascal should bring out a level of urgency out of Chad that we haven't seen often. I think sometimes it's so easy for Dawson outbox his opponents that we don't get to see that from him, but facing someone with the guts of Pascal, who also matches up far better athletically vs Dawson than Johnson or Tarver did, should make for an excellent matchup. Dawson's also a whole different dilemma compared to what Pascal's been facing. We've seen Pascal's toughness proven; now, it's his skills being put to the test.

Hopefully Pascal's 100% healed from the shoulder injury, but the truth is I'd slightly favor Dawson even if that hadn't happened by a couple rounds. I'll add in one more Chad Dawson round for the uncertainty of how Pascal's shoulder will hold up in his first fight back, so my prediction's 8-4 Dawson.

 

I'm a fan of them both but you gotta put Chad's chin in perspective. He got knocked down by a freakin jab by Harding, a guy with 7 ko's in 28 fights! Pascal isn't what I would consider a one shot ko artist but he may be able to stop Dawson. If it goes the distance, Chad by decision.

 

Chad by late TKO. Watch Pascal vs Froch and Pittman, then realize Chad Dawson is in another class.

And no, Pascal doesnt have the power to KO Chad Dawson. He has 60% KO percentage, and if you look at the fighters on his resume thats pitiful.

This fight wont be close. Pascal is a good boxer, but Chad Dawson is bigger and better in every department.

Really wanna compare Froch to the likes of Adamek, Tarver and Johnson. err ok lol.

 

Agreed but Pascal still has a chance. Harding has a 25% ko ratio and put Dawson down so I wouldn't be surprised if Pascal at least stumbles Chad. It'll be a great fight I'm anxious for August to come.

 

I want to see Vitali or Vlad fight Dawson ASAP.

 

Flash KD caught Dawson coming in off balance. Pascal will pretty much be the smallest fighter Dawson has faced since defeating Adamek for the title.

 

I see Dawson putting on a clinic and getting a decision but am not counting Pascal out. I'll give Dawson full credit for fighting Pascal win or lose. It's what you do with size that's important.

 

Dawson 9-3 or 10-2.

 

Dont get me wrong, Pascal is a good fighter, he is probably the 2nd best fighter in the division next to Dawson. I'd pick him to win a lopsided UD against Tarvoris Cloud for example.

But given that they are basically the same mold fighter, in those matchups its the bigger guy who wins. Dawson in reality should probably be at cruiserweight. He's one of those guys that really benefits from no same day weigh ins.

You are underestimating Pascal, he's a much better boxer compared to when he fought Froch and Pittman. If Froch and Pascal fought again, I would favor Pascal definitely.

This will be a very tough match for Dawson, and I wouldn't be surprise if he loses.

This is a very difficult match to predict.
