If it weren't for the accentandwayhetalksalotof****, goofy face/hair, and compulsive ****ing-himself-over-ing, he'd be the least stereotypical bennie ever.

He's still a bennie (and, therefore, evil), but he's one of the best and bravest "heels" the sport's had in decades.

 

I'm a native New Yorker,and don't like Malignaggi at all.The shite coming out of his mouth before the Cotto fight was really,really annoying.But then again,I don't like Khan either,so **** 'em both.

Sorry. A bennie is a Jersey Shore tourist - no one's really sure where the name came from; my theory is that he was the first guy to rent beach umbrellas and sold boxed lunches to tourists. Back in the '20s, the lunches came in shoeboxes, so those much further along the "get off my lawn!" path than I am call them shoobies. The ones you see on tv are mild cases of what we have to put up with.

I blame MTV. Ever since they set up their Spring Break fifteen minutes away from me, bennies have become an epidemic. I was overseas that decade, so coming back was quite a shock.

Malignaggi is a trash talking punk who can't back up what he says. I still remember him getting owned by Hatton and Cotto. He will get owned by Khan when they fight.

He speaks his mind, he don't hold back at all, no matter who he talks to.........everything 99% of boxers are reluctant to do.

If he was a politician he would get nowhere, he speaks his mind and gives you a straight answer.
