this is great. best thing he ever did. ha ha. screw the belts. now the other org is giving him a diamond belt just like Pacquiao has, same belt, same org, same division.

what ****. watering it down more, making it more meaningless.

    good.

I hope the other orgs step up and start handing out belts to all the fighters too, pearl belts, diamond belts, seat belts. its all ****.

the steroid thing isn't Floyd's triumph, but blowing off the belts surely is.

thanks Floyd for setting a great example :happy

actually, i think unifying the belts is a much better way of making the different ones meaningless.

Na unifying them only creates demand for all of them. ignore them completely until only one remains

Isn't the diamond belt supposed to be just for catchweight fights.
Did they just rewrite their own rule they just wrote late last year?
    In other words, WTF?:huh

How can you not credit him for lobbying for a more strict testing program? Would you trust the system if guys like Mosley was able to cheat it? I don't know about you but I'm dirt poor. If I'm paying my hard-earned money on PPV fights I want to be highly ensured that I'm getting a clean fight.

The WBC is making a huge mistake in my opinion. There should be only one diamond belt, if any at all. Isn't the WBC belt enough? By giving out 2 of the same belts to the 2 guys who are likely to fight each other is just ******ed, if you're trying to make your belt look attractive. Mayweather SHOULD blow this belt off as well, as it apparently is given out to all the WBC's favorite kids, not just the best.

But then you will have all the interim belts pop up. Maybe the unified champion can fight the unified interim champion for the...forget it, they are like weeds.

What does the WBC have to do with the WBA fight? Suliman wants it all.

Yeah I too respect Floyd's decision to say no to the belt.

Collecting a belt would be meaningless. A great fighter on your resume is more valuable than any belt in my opinion

    Bollocks.
Floyd just doesnt want to upset his beloved WBC and threaten the mutual masturbation he has going with Jose Sulamein.

Him and the WBC are each others bitches, thats whats behind it, not the good of the sport, or "setting a great example":)rofl)

Do you think he'd have told Jose to stick his Cheap green belt?
    No chance.

God i hate that guy and the WBC.

Mayweather always regarded the WBC belt as the main belt, I fully expect him to accept it.

yes that is correct but we can't also ignore that hopkins or jones resume for example looks great when they unified those belts. But i agree with you though
