Now I work in PR so I am more cynical than most when it comes to media coverage, but I think a bit of appreciation is needed for the BBC's coverage of Carl Froch.

Ben Dirs' recent blog on Carl Froch shows intelligence and insight that no other media outlet (BBC has less pressure to over-sell) can offer. The integrated coverage with BBC Nottingham is superb as well and really has done a job at painting the picture of how it's going for him. Incidentally, he sounds like he's perked up a bit in the last interview.

Before I get accused of working for the BBC (I don't, honest!) they still get a bits wrong. I'm sure most of you agree that their rankings are a bit iffy, but I also reckon they only come second to Boxing News in the amount of coverage given to domestic fights.

Bit of a love in, but credit where credit is due.

That is quite a statement. I went on to his blog just now to have a look and found one article. What do you mean by the integrated coverage with BBC Nottingham? Links?

PS. My vote of best coverage of Froch goes to Griff. Hands down.

I was just listening to the most recent Froch interview on the BBC website and that last few seconds of the interview was vintage Froch - hilarious lol

Ok the main boxing page is here - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/boxing/default.stm

The first thing you see is the main Froch article, accompanied by an audio piece for BBC Nottingham
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/boxing/8637907.stm

Hence integrated coverage - the national and regional coverage have been put in the same place so if you're not from Nottingham you have ease of access to the clip.

Dirs is a dreadful sports journalist. How anyone could praise him is beyond me.
