Why did Bute turn down Froch?

    Your right Froch - Taylor happend at SMW where Taylor hadnt been KOd and had lost a decision to Pavlik only and had win over Lacy. Regardless of how you rate those accomplishments or not, Taylor was the WBC #1 contender and Froch beat him away and made the scoring redundant. Pascal didnt accomplish winning a world title at SMW because Froch beat him but has gone on to win the WBC LHW title beating Diaconu (poor health or not), who looks on paper no worse than Berrio, Zuniga, Bika, Andrade or Miranda

    Now you've really confused yourself. Andrade was No. 1 and mandatory challenger to Kessler's WBC and WBA. Inkin was not No. 1 challenger. Andrade was No. 1 challenger and Kessler's mandatory.

    Froch fought Tatevosyan a day before Kessler fought his mandatory Andrade. Bute vs. Bika had already been agreed by then. In other words, Froch decided not to fight Bute in the IBF eliminator but chose to fight Tatevosyan, the man Bute had just beaten, instead. Froch decided to take on Tatevosyan after he decided not to take part in the IBF eliminator, at a time when Kessler was still due to fight his mandatory Andrade.

    Froch i didn't know they were gonna fight.. Now Allan Green on the other hand, I've heard that he turned down a fight with Bute when both were unbeaten... It was gonna air on HBO... But Green said no...

    I thought Froch was meant to fight Inkin for the IBF eliminator but Inkin twice pulled out?

    Yeah it was Inkin... Forget which belt... I just know that Inkin was the mandatory for a belt Calzaghe had... But yeah, I do remember this was suppose to happen...

    Too risky. Froch has the stamina, chin and power to seriously trouble Bute.

    Same things can be said about Bute, he got enough skills, power and speed to seriously trouble Froch.

    bootay only recently got the confidence to call out the top fighters, until now he was having a hard time with one dimensional andrade, do you really think he would have fought the cobra back then?

    Yeah, he ducked Bute to face Pascal,Taylor in America, Dirrell, Kessler in Denmark, and then Abraham:yep

    Bute is an irrelevance.According to Ken Hershman when interviewed by Boxing news, he wasn't invited to the Super Six due to his previous relutance to fight the top men in the division away from home

    Yeah, because Hershman really is impartial in this situation...

    On the other hand, it is documented that Froch refused to fight Bute for the IBF eliminator in 2007. Bute accepted the fight.
