Dawson vs Pascal

Pascal by late KO for me .... as Ali once said 'Champions have to have skill and the will , But the will must be stronger than the skill ' ... Pascal has that but Dawson doesnt !

 

As Mayweather said, boxers dont go from good to great. Beating Diaconu who is well who is he, is not enough for me to forget the fact that Pascal lost to Froch and hasnt looked crisp in every outing, and he'd need to be damn near peaking and injury free to even stand with Dawson.

 

How would he negate the size advantage? Dawson is a righty that fights southpaw, which means his dominate hand is his jab hand, thats 77 inches of jab, Pascal is giving up 3 inches in reach and 4-5 inches in height and Dawson fights tall.

Thats too much to overcome, especially with his shoulder.

 

Pascal got outboxed by Froch every time the fight went from brawl to boxing match...

 

We are talking about a guy who got controlled by Carl Froch's jab vs Chad ****ing Dawson....I honestly think this fight is going to be easier then the Johnson and Tarver fights for Dawson. Those two guys were bigger then pascal and had a lot of vetran savy that basically allowed them defned themselves effectively and to make the most of what Dawson was giving them. Pascal does not have the ability to defend himself his whole game is roling and countering. More over the Froch fight showed us that when he is faced with someone that is able to control him with a Jab he is not able to adjust. Maybe he's better then when he fought Froch but this is Chad Dawson we are talking about. Remember Chad Dawson basically gave up his belt so that he could be made Pascal's maditory. That should tell you something about what his people think of the style match-up.

Yes, people trot it out all the time when they want to disagree with something without the need for providing any counterpoints, evidence or analysis of their own...

 

The safe bet is Dawson by decision...but I'm not counting Pascal out, he needs to be on top form though...and 100% healthy!

Well, in the other part of the post you got one of the fighter's names wrong, so it wasn't exactly adding to your credibility...

 

Doing it on purpose would only get you more credibility in the playground. Most of us grew out of that stuff when we turned 15, as I'm sure you will too.
