We'll say the Tua who decimated John Ruiz in March of 1996 vs the George Foreman who did a similar demolition job on Gerry Cooney in January of 1990. Who would have won?
I tend to agree. He had the physical strength to keep Tua at bay and the power to possibly even be the first person to stop Tuaman inside the distance. I believe felix Savon knocked Tua out in the amatuers.
I actually think he would be able to out-box someone as one-dimensional as Tua. To be frank, Tua is a slower better chinned version of Frazier (With a lot less ability). An old Foreman will be play well into his hand. Even old Foreman made sluggers try out-boxing him. Tua just can't. He gets out-boxed by guys that aren't really anything to lavish about.
I believe if Foreman comes to fight Tua could maybe sneak a win, I am a Tua fan obviously, we always say no swarmer can ever defeat Foreman but mayeb Tua could.
I like Tua because 1990 foreman was so old, slow, and so easy to hit! I like Tua by knockout. 1990s foreman is becoming one of the most overrated h2h fighters of all time. There are actually people who believe a 1990s foreman would have beaten prime Tyson. This is mind boggling.

Tua was a different fighter around this time. Could old George keep up with the pace of the Ibeabuchi fight? Hell no!
David Tua takes this one by stoppage. Foreman will be right in front of him for Tua to hit. Tua will survive the early rounds and throw hundreds of punches, he was very busy in his prime. By the mid rounds Foreman will be worn out and stationary on the ropes, and then it's just a matter of time. Tua will become more aggressive as Foreman's output decreases, and as good as Foreman's chin was, Tua will sooner or later land enough flush shots to stop him. :hat
