So your comparing Richardo Mayorgra to Roy Jones Junior, you certainly are talking **** today....its quite clear to me, that you don't know what the **** you are talking about.

And you haven't explained 1 thousand times.....

I will repeat....you can have all the speed and power in the world, but still throw combinations with terrible technique, still throw hooks like a kangaroo etch The fact of the matter is, that Roy Jones didn't throw combinations with terrible technique, or hooks like a kangaroo. I'm only talking about one aspect of Roy Jones Junior........

So your trying to tell me, it was just Roy Jones Junior's speed and power that enabled him to do the things he did..?

    Answer my ****ing question..?

Roy Jones Junior was Michael Jordon with Boxing gloves on...one of the most artistic eye pleasing punchers in history.

No one here has owned me or proved me wrong....

this thread is everything that is good and bad about the forum.

prima is a ****ing funny guy when wound up though. Can imagine him typing away furiously on his key board going that teeto is a ****!

I think what people have got to accept with RJJ is that he is an ATG, but he was only able to do what he could because of his undeniable speed. once that became diminished so did he as a fighter.

People will always have a difference of opinion in terms of what they think a technicly good combo is.
Some favour JC pitter panter style to confuse and then create an opening.

But RJJ lost a lot of what he had due to age diminishing his speed.

Floyd Mayweather will loose allot of what he has, when his speed deminishes.....

    And..?

Will people say he was, not technically gifted or fundamentally sound.

that is not what i am saying to be honest.

all i am pointing out is that RJJ lost one of his major weapons when his speed went, and so will floyd. In terms of legacy, it wont make them any less thought of, as it happens to most fighters; they lose that something that enable them to compete.

there is no shame in that. That is life i am afraid.

Ali was technically gifted, but came to point when he couldn't do it any more. It is not losing the brain to do it, just the physical ability

When Floyd Mayweather's speed of foot, becomes average...and his one punch speed, just becomes fast.

The same thing will happen to Floyd Mayweather..? he will be beaten.

I think he will be beaten, by Shane Mosley to be honest anyway, because of the technical flaw..that i was talking about in another thread.

age and loss of speed is not a technical flaw, unless the person in question never had any discernible speed in the first place.

Ali could not compete when he lost the speed to get out of the way of punches.

RJJ could not compete with JC or GREEN in the end as his speed is what enabled him to carry off what you rightly describe as 8 hooks in a row quick combos etc.

What was the 1970's about then with Muhammad Ali..? he could not compete, when he could'nt get out of the way of punches..?

    Are you for ****ing real..

Muhammad Ali fought some of the biggest punchers of the 70's, took their punches and came back..!!!!! Muhammad Ali had one of the greatest heavyweight chins of all times...!!!!

what are you rattling on about. I am talking about when his speed had declined. You don't read what people write properly, you see what you want to see, and then respond accordingly.

I am not coming back at you, i was actually trying to run alongside you and qualify that RJJ was a great until he lost one of his major attributes : his speed.

My comparison with ALI is valid, as he did decline as his speed went. It is not hard to grasp, and is a natural occurence.

Chill out, not everyone is against you!

Yes, Roy Jones was not a great technician in terms of punching form, he had great physical tools. I didn't need to answer your question because i've said it shitloads already.

I never compared Mayorga to Jones in terms of their greatness, YOU said that Jones was technical because he could throw a punch, so i put forth Mayorga and Battling Siki, who it seems you are ****ing clueless to you dumb ****. Because they too threw punches that ko'd people, so by your logic they are technical also. Technique is assessed on how the punches are thrown, not on the fact they simply did get thrown. Now watch Roy and then watch Jose Napoles and there's no debate to my argument.

I haven't said anything to degrade Roy, i'll say again, he was effective as almost anybody in his prime, he was very great.

Now **** off, i'm not replying to you again, you're a clown.

Right I know how to end this with an agreement

Prima - is trying to say that Jones had technic and was not just some fast guy.

Teeto - is trying to say that Jones might have technic, but it is very much his own and not textbook, and you need speed and timing in order to get away with it, where as textbook technic has more longevity, and and unnatural speed is not required in order to pull it off,

is that fair everyboby, can we agree to that, and just get along
