I am actually a fan of Chavez Jr...Since he has chosen the route of his father and fore-go any real amateur competition, early-on you can see that his technique needed work, but has gotten better. But John Duddy is a solid (nothing supremely special) fighter. It's a damn shame we have to wait to late June to see this.

Both are crap but Chavez Jr is crappier. Duddy cant block straights so we'll see. Interesting fight and hopefully is not PPV.

IF JR comes in the way he did last time i ll take Duddy,

I will something about Chavez though, ive seen a little promise and skiills in the past dont know if he has start his dads routina. Difference is pops didnt start ****ing around till he made it big.

Chavez trains hard he beats Dudddy. Chavez trains anyless than 90% Duddy kicks his ass.

oDds 6.5 to 5 Chavez sligt favorite

Duddy is too easy to hit for a puncher like chavez....not a huge puncher sure but enough to take out duddy.

Nice to see Chavez Jnr move up from 4 rounders, i thought he'd be fighting them till he was 99-0, then fight some bum in a twelve rounder to achieve what his father nearly did but couldnt.

But Duddy has this, he's not shopworn yet, I'm sure he can take Jr's punches and get off enough of his own to ge the decision.

They both suck about equally, so it may very well end up a draw.

    Bullcrap.

Matt Vanda didn't win ****, the dude lost both fights. The first had a controversial score from an obviously corrupt judge but thats about it.

Chavez was terrible in his fight on the Cotto-Pac undercard. I watched the fight without sound and tought that it was a very close fight that he was maybe going to lose if it wasn't for his cool name

Should be an exciting fight because neither have a great defense and both are come forward fighters - it won't be technically good but it will hopefully be a bit of a brawl!! Love to see Duddy win but if it's close and goes to the cards the judges might be more inclined to give chavez the shout

Could actually be a decent fight this, not technical brilliance, but some decent action with Chavez landing a lot more than Duddy.

I'm expecting to see Duddy's face in tatters by the end, and Chavez winning a wide decision.

Have you seen Duddy fight before? There is absolutely no way he is getting KO'd, his chin is granite. He has taken some monstrous hits and wasn't even phased by them. He may lose on points but I'll eat my hat if he gets KO'd.

if john duddy can stay on top of chavez jr. and counterpunch him duddy will win easily. dont forget chavez sr. never did well against counter punchers with good chins, for example, frankie randall, i think the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
