Floyd Mayweather "Is technically flawed"

Based on what? What will Floyd do that will make it look easy? I can think of a couple of things, but I can't imagine them working for a whole fight.

he will pot shot , 1-2 combo, lead left hook its just my opinion that he will o it and like i said make it look easy

 

He had a Torn Rotator Cuff in The First Castillo Fight.

 

It's a fundamental thing with Floyd although is a highly skilled fighter he lacks aggression when met with aggression he is naturally a defensive fighter. Floyd more at 147 waits for his moments of lack of activity from his opponent before he takes most of the control of tempo and domination and starts staying in the pocket and getting off his shots.

Shane needs to find ways in the 1st half of the fight to try and slip Floyd's straight right pot shots and try countering them, because in the 1st few rounds that’s what Floyd will try to do his lunging in pot shots, he got to keep pumping a good jab and select his shots not waste too much energy because this is part of what Floyd will want him to do.

Zab showed a few weak points in the 1st few rounds, fast speed, workrate, straight punches can get Floyd so he needs to do these.

When Floyd closes the range and stays mostly in then out the pocket in the later rounds that’s when he does his good work and damage.

 

It's the footwork that will really cause Mosley problems - good post.

Yes Floyd's footwork really good from day one, it's like it's programmed by a computer.

 

He's not technically flawed in anything that he does. Everything that he does do is technically brilliant. However, one could say he's not a complete technical master, because the complete technician is the man who is constantly creating openings and exploiting them with cominations of punches, like Napoles or Whittaker.

Mayweather's not overrated in his own effectiveness imo, but he is overrated as the complete technician.

Not to mention that fight was ages ago and he's a far better fighter nowadays than he was back then. He also had an immediate rematch where he put any doubts to rest. Lets not forget that was a prime Castillo. In fact wasnt castillo awarded $1000 for flooring Pac in sparring recently.

Since the first Castillo fight Mosely has been beaten....strangely enough by a boxer type rather than a brawler type. Floyd is very adaptable and will execute whatever gameplan that is required on the night.

One things for sure though, when Floyd beats Shane people will call sugar shot etc etc rather than credit PBF for the victory, mark those words lol

 

Is trhere anyone else on this thread that thinks Shane Mosley is overrated anyway?

 

Mega talent but also a mega pain in the arse

 

I just think that when it comes to good, technical boxing, he doesnt live up to his 'status'. he cant box well in my opinion, unless his opponent is right infront of him. great battler and great warrior, but not a great boxer. fights against winky, forrest and cotto proved this for me.
