Hector Camacho would have taken a 15 round decision with his superior speed and dynamic style he possessed pre-Rosario. Hector had a chin, remember to go with his skills, and at 130 he was a totally different animal that that boring safety first guy you probably remember him as being. A knockdown or maybe two would be scored by Macho en route to a clear unanimous decision over a game but surprisingly ineffective JMM.
even a defensive camacho still fight effectively against a brawler like vinny paz and camacho still fought well after rosario's fight, he's actually still attacking fighter against howard davis. But surely against someone like Marquez a post rosario camacho will using his defensive skill and landing a clean counter. Camacho would win by decision, probably with floored marquez once or twice in the process, I dont see how Marquez could floored camacho since camacho has been proven against huge puncher like rosario, reyez cruz, chavez or even de la hoya , trinidad. Camacho that fought Ramirez and Rafael Limon, against Marquez that fought Pacman surely would be a great watch!
This is a much closer fight than all of you are saying... Not saying Marquez wins this, but by no means is this some kind of gimme like most of you think... Marquez has such sharp counterpunching skills and is a well rounded fighter. Camacho is no natural welter like Floyd so dont think it will look anything like that fight... Camacho was blazing fast in his prime but Marquez isnt exactly slow especially at JL,where he still had good speed... Marquez beats a Camacho (post Rosario) and i have no doubt about that one.... A pre Rosario Camacho probably takes this but by no means will it be easy,
