If it does 2mil I WILL UTTERLY Suprised BUT IT WILL DO AT LEAST 1.5 BECAUSE IN America names matter and Shane's name carry enough weight in a fight vs floyd and people are curios enough for people to throw fight parties, go to the bar, order the fight etc. to see this fight

    How is that even possible?

Unless you're talking about toddlers or preteens I don't know how that is possible. Mike Tyson is incredibly popular. I've traveled extensively and been to a few 3rd world countries and even they know who Mike Tyson is.

Mike Tyson has reached a level where he is an icon. Mayweather, Mosley, Pacquaio and De la Hoya don't even come close to his popularity.

As for the OP 3 mil is way too high.

This is more like a 1.75 Million buys.

Tyson is still face of boxing to many people even though he is out. Just yesterday a guy from Ukraine asks me why he never fights Klitchkos , lol.

I thin it will generate huge PPV buys, I will not be surprised if it ends up garnering close to 2M.

It is a very intruiging matchup and it is a guy who actually have a good chance of kicking Floyd's ass. That alone makes this PPVa good buy.

People will buy this PPV to see Floyd get whooped, not because Floyd is the face of boxing.

3m? I'm not sure about that. I think more around the 2m mark. But then again I didn't think May/Marquez would do 1m. I think it definitely has the potential but if I had to make a bet/serious guess I would say around 2-2.6. This fight I believe will be huge.

Nope. Maybe around 1.5M buys which is the number expected from it. Buys below 1.5M is a disappointment.

I'm an optimistic person so I voted yes, but you have to factor in a lot of people are going to the theaters so the PPV numbers will go down a bit. I think realistic expections are 1.5 mil, though.

A little over 1 mil is what I'm expecting. 1.5 would be stretching it. This fight isn't much bigger than Mayweather/Marquez was to the public. Especially when you consider how significant the Mexican/Mexican-American segment is to the boxing market. This, along with how ripped off people felt after watching the last big PPV in Pac/Clottey, will prevent it from even coming close to 2 mil.

    Mosley-Mayweather is A LOT bigger than Marquez-Mayweather.

Around the 1.7m-1.8m mark which is still a great pull, Schaefer's comments of the fight reaching 3m is wishful thinking.
