2009 September: vs. Juan Manuel Marquez - 12 rounds of boring mismatched fight. 1 million peeps got fooled buying the PPV.

2007 December: vs. Ricky Hatton - Incompetent ref Joe Cortez ruining the fight. Hatton bulldozed the ring post.

2007 May: vs. Oscar Dela Hoya - The World Awaits... of what? 2 million peeps are still waiting up to this time. :D

2006 November: vs. Carlos Baldomir - 12 rounds of snoozefest. Live audience started leaving the fight arena even before the fight ended.

2006 April: vs. Zab Judah - A foulfest but no one got suspended.

So how this May 1st Mosley vs. Floyd fight will play out? What do you think?

Members of Team Mayweather went inside the ring, isn't it an infraction of a boxing rule?

It definately is. I'm pretty sure it usually leads to a DQ, but it wouldn't be the first or last time it didn't(most recently see Brinkley vs Stevens), they removed Roger from the corner(also done in the Brinkley-Stevens fight) and...surprise...Leonard Ellerbe became his cornerman if I recall correctly.

I don't recall if Roger served any suspension.

Well that's their discretion/judgement. I expected a DQ on that one.

It seems that fans feeling dissatisfied after watching a Floyd fight?

Beats the **** out of an over-matched Lightweight in a comeback bout.

Outclasses and KO's the unbeaten Hatton.

Moves up and beats the best guy at 154.

Decisions the linear Champ a 147.

Beats Zab Judah in a very entertainig fight.

Here is a fair assesment of his previous fights! Unlike the OP's.

2009 September: vs. Juan Manuel Marquez - A good opponent for May to take on and beat convincingly if he wanted to take on Pac man and get people talking, good performance by May he should have commited more to get Marquez out of there but I can give him a pass as he was off for 15 months, he should have made weight too.

2007 December: vs. Ricky Hatton - very good/entertaining fight, first person to take away Hattons 0 and convincingly too, the knock out was very nice! PBF had nothing to do with the ref!

2007 May: vs. Oscar Dela Hoya - Not a great fight but neither was Tito vs Oscar, but still quite a good fight, PBF going up to 154 Oscar having every advantage during negoatiations and still couldn't win.

2006 November: vs. Carlos Baldomir - Not a good fight but I can't hate too much he hurt his hand, great defensive display though, I think at that time Baldomir was over hyped, people loved his rags to riches story and after he had beaten Gatti and then Zab people were talking him up tooooo much!

2006 April: vs. Zab Judah - Very entertaining fight, PBF performed well and dominated Zab causing him to foul, Roger then over stepped the mark.

As far as I see it, two very good performances, two average to good performances and one ok performance. People don't want to give May any credit whatsoever!

You have to view those fights in their context:

    - Marquez was way too small - he was no threat to Floyd.
    - Hatton had looked dreadful since beating Tyszu and his sole venture to welter showed how limited he was against fast-handed, mobile fighters
    - Oscar was a part-time fighter who'd had one fight in something like the past two years. Even then he cause mayweather problems whenever he jabbed consistently.
    - Baldomir... come on, no one gave him a hope. He was a fairytale, but no one thought he'd suddenly become an elite fighter... which brings us to...
    - Judah. That was a very good performance from Floyd (not without its hiccups though), but Judah had just been beaten by Baldomir. By Baldomir. Who sucks. That says it all really.

that's not what I'm saying - you just have to look at the whole picture. They were ok performances, but not amazing in the context in which they happened.
