I must admit I'm surprised to hear that Adamek is a slight betting favorite. From everything I've read, most boxing insiders think this fight was a big mistake for Adamek. I must agree. Here's how I see it going.

Adamek wins the first few round with his superior speed and boxing ability. He tags Arreola with a few hard shots but is unable to do much damage. Sometime between the 2-4 rounds Adamek gets hit...hard. At that point Adamek will know he's in with a real heavyweight that can punch. It is at this point that the Polish star will get a bit reckless. After that it's only a matter of time. If I had to pick a round I'd say the 8th. Arreola by 8th round TKO.

    But what do you think?

The longer fight lasts the slimmer chances Arreola has. Adamek is the type who likes increasing tempo in later rounds (except Estrada fight, Adamek got too fat in that fight;])

I think Adamek's skills, heart, ring IQ and versatility will win this easily on the cards. The scenario you draw up is possible. I'd say at least 30% given Arreola's punch speed and relative accuracy and determination. But a KO is Arreola's only way to win, whereas Adamek has many more ways to win. Keep in mind, Adamek has demonstrated one punch KO power as well, so its not impossible that he can't KO Arreola. As far as boxing insiders, most of the voices I've heard so far are coming from HBO lackeys who are known Arreola supporters partly because they have created and have a stake in Arreola's hype. Ask Dan Raphael what he thinks.

This is true. Adamek is a slow starter. Arreola needs to get him in the early rounds, that will be his biggest chance.

Arreola by TKO within first 6 rounds. I hope he can pull it off. This means no disrespect to Adamek. He's a fine, tough fighter who deserves a win just as much but I'll have to go with the HW power of Arreola in this one.

I'd say Adamek also only has one way to win and that is by boxing and fighting a discipled fight, something that is hard to do for a guy that's not a boxer. Really, Adamek is more of a boxer/puncher...and when he gets tagged he tends to go to war. Also, nearly every Arreola fight ends in a knockout, so it's not the far-fetched. I just think Arreola is too big and too strong for Adamek. Also, the polish star is not exactly Willie Pep. Honestly, he's pretty easy to hit. I don't see him making it out of this scrap on his feet.

I think its a very competitive match up, and one fans should enjoy.

Adamek has proved he belongs. He is skilled, and rather technical. Arreola has the edge on power, and chin. I'll go with Arreola to win in the mid to late rounds in fast paced fight.

Smaller boxers tend to have trouble with stronger and aggressive swarmers.

Adamek will take an early lead, eventually he stands his ground too much and Arreola starts getting to him around the 5th 6th. They go toe to toe in the 7th after Arreola drops him he finishes him off shortly after for the finish

    Arreola Tko 7

This fight is too big of a question mark for me to bet on.

That's a valid point. The article I read quote Larry Merchant. And while I like him as a commentator, his loyalty to his network is obvious. Still, happen to agree with him. Arreola is too big and too strong for Adamek, who is also very hittable.

Arreola is no Estrada...he wont be tagging Adamek like Estrada did. His advantage in speed will be apparent from the opening round and he will cruise to a UD. Never can count a puncher out though...

He doesn't need to tag Adamek like Estrada did....all he needs is one well-placed punch.
