It won't be an amazing achievement, but it will enhace his legacy. How much is another question. After the Pac fight fell apart, this is the fight everyone demanded out of Mayweather and now they're getting it.

Oh I agree that it is the next best thing to a Pacquiao fight and I am looking forward to it, but people are making it out to be something that it's not.

I think one thing we have to remember, whether we like it or not is, although Sugar Shane is 39 and by far out of his prime, he still is a top p4p boxer.

We will find out if that Mayorga fight was the fight of Mayorga's career, or Sugar getting old in front of us.

So I will give credit to Mayweather if he beats Shane. But it wont do wonders for Floyd's legacy, because this fight, a legit WW match with NO catchweight, against a top WW "title" holder, is what we've been waiting for, for how long now?

No catchweight, no excuses. At least from me, on why May beat Mosley.

    Idol worship is pathetic.

You can't prove any of these fantasy affairs.

    Go and play with dolls.

So thinking someone is great, happens to be pathetic to you huh.

Why do you have 20000 posts if there is nothing/no one you find truely great in boxing?

The point is that it is unprovable.

Have your say and get out.

    Like me.

Floyd would kick Sugar Ray's ass.

    Don't believe it?

    Prove otherwise.

Boxing fans are superstitious. Idol worship and superstition is for women.

"“OK, Manny Pacquiao struggled twice, which we really know he got beat, struggled twice with Marquez, which we know he really lost, right? And we know he's been knocked out twice. And he's been out-boxed by Eric Morales, but they still give him Boxer of the Decade. So that's something I don't understand. He beat a Miguel Cotto who just got pummeled with a cast. So I mean, tell me what it really is. He beat Miguel Cotto that got pummeled with a cast and he beat a Ricky Hatton that got stretched by me. I'm trying to find out what it really is. That's not for me to choose. That's not for me to put him in the Hall of Fame."

    The guy is ****in' clueless.:patsch

I agree, we can't prove it. And I respect your decision, you think Floyd could be SRR.

But I just find it funny that everyone who says the believe Floyd could beat SRR has that attitude of "Floyd would beat SRR, **** you. You're an idiot for thinking what you think", or something along the lines of what your saying, with "Idol worship and superstition is for women".

Answer me this, have you ever in your entire life, looked up to anyone, to the point of you thinking "man, that persons achievements are impressive, I want be that good.", or " I wonder what it took him/her to get to that point", or thought something along those lines?

A fighter is not suppossed to think someone else is better than him. PBF is clearly the best of his era as Sugar Ray Robinson was the best of his. SRR was virtually unbeatable at Welterweight and PBF at Junior Lightweight. Pound for pound SRR hit harder and PBF's defense is better. In a fantasy match 15 round split decision for PBF. Styles make fights. Charley Burley would be a different story though.
