A very very good fight. Mainly due to The lack of footwork and movement on both parts, combined with big hearts and granite chins. Froch Hit kessler with some really good clean shots and took some aswel. KEssler for me just had too high a work rate throughout the fight. KEssler was much busier but Froch i thought had more eye catching shots. I scored it 115-113 to kessler personally. Kessler showed more skills than Froch but hats off to both fighters who put on a battle. Kessler i feel could have won this fight in a blowout had he stuck to boxing and jabbing and outworking Froch all the way through. Too often he was happy to just stand and trade with Froch, where i feel Froch won most of those exchanges. As for Froch, i feel had he applied a lot more pressure and force the dane into a slugfest in the middle of the ring he could have had a lot of success. But I was shocked at how Kessler was walking down and pushing Froch back. How many Supermiddle weights can do that and have the balls to do that? To me it feels kessler imposed himself onto froch and Froch didnt respond enough. Maybe fighting in a hostile arena such as this took its toll on froch who knows? Either way it was a good fight to watch and an epic final round!! BASED ON what weve seen in the super 6, its hard to see who could trouble Ward too much. MAybe direll or possibly Abraham?
Fantastic fight. Props to both fighters, the both gave it everything they had, the better fighter won. Bring on the next round.
wow abraham froch. I think it just depends on Froch. Abraham will be more of a stationary target than Kessler was tonight which suits froch. But abraham has a better defense and with how open froch is, abraham will connect some BOMBS on his chin. Both fighters coming off a loss, knowing a win puts them into the semi finals. cannot wait for this one. My early feeling would have to go to An Abraham UD. I dont say that with any confidence though! Does anyone know if the fights in the Uk or Germany?
errm... so you didn't enjoy the bits in which Froch and Kessler counterpunched each other all night? I wouldnt call it counter punched, but all out war.
It was a very good fight, bit sloppy, but Froch's lack of activity in the middle rounds and accuracy let him down.
