He was sick a month before, then was allergic to his medication. I don't think he was ill on fightnight, he was just not in a good boxing condition. He had less power than usual and his stamina was not there.
I didn't say you can't believe it. From my point of view, that's pure crap. BTW, i like Bute, i'm not a hater. Before the fight, best condition ever, 140 rounds of sparring and everything is perfect. After the fight, he was in poor condition. Same old song.
To be fair, even if the ref hadn't messed up, he still wouldn't have been KO'd. He was up by eight and the round had already ended, so it wasn't as if he would have had to keep on fighting.

What do you expect a fighter to say before a fight? Bute admitting he's not in a great shape? When you practice any elite sport, you hide those things. If you knew Bute just a bit, from his other 12 rounders, you would know something was not going well. It's your choice not to believe it though.
