replying to the same post twice, what a ******. i scored it a draw, close fight, nothing much in it. kessler was out on his feet in the 12, if there was still a round to come there would have been only one winner and Kessler it would not have been, deal with it. :rasta
And yet Kessler was landing more and even busted Froch left eye badly in that same round. And then the last 10 seconds Kessler land 2 left hooks that end the round and the fight. <<<I swear some here don't know how to score a fight.
you being one. after that sensible post by yourself earlier in the thread too :-( 12 was a Froch round, Kessler had nothing left at the end, the late flurry was a desperate attempt to gain the round by throwing in hope to try and get the round, Froch was punching through his guard and hurting him.... another couple mins and Kessler was in big trouble.
If Kessler had nothing left in the tank, he wouldn't busted Froch left eye that was cut really bad. <<And those were not in the late flurrys as you mention.
Yep, and the guy who had it in press-row for Kessler had it by a round. The scorecards blew dick. Guido, as usual was the only one that got it remotely close.
I was expecting a score of 115-113. I was disheartened for Froch as soon as i heard 117-111. Bull****. All round good fight. Not the highest quality fight you'll ever see, but certainly entertaining and good action. The last few fights Froch has made me a fan through a combination of the barmy things he says and also the heart he shows in the ring. At this level, he will nearly always be the underdog because he is not as slick as the rest, but he gives it his all and you can't ask for more than that. Carl did good today, and as defeats go it was a good one. Sometimes it's best to lose your 0 in a close fight because it eases the pressure off trying to remain unbeaten in the future. After all, at the highest level, - if you continually push yourself to fight the best, (nearly) everyone will lose eventually.
BTW, what of the 'knockdown'? I didn't get to see a replay - but I was disappointed it was ruled a slip at the time.
