what i'm saying is not only would he of had to win the rounds, but he would of had to of won them convingly, and he didn't do that. i got no complaints with the loss. IMO he lost anyway. i'm just stating we all knew the reality of the situation before the fight.

It makes you wonder why Froch chose to fight in Denmark. He would have had a much better chance had the fight taken place in the UK. I can only assume it was a money issue or they had some kind of gentlemans agreement at the start of the Super Six where everyone fought home and away.

Will this fight knock some of the confidence out of Froch?

Agreed mate. Froch could have won if he had fought slightly differently and was his more usual busier self. Well done Kessler and i think Froch beats AA on points and may still advance. Kessler will KO Green and advance.

I don't always agree but I have always had great respect for Buncey! Though I do agree with him in this situation.

I thought they were being generous too , although that said Froch was clearly the one doing the hurting but everytime he did he backed off.

Brilliant fight tho , both guys should be proud.

They had it 115-113, which tallied with the Italian judge. If you think the home crowd didn't have an impact both on Kessler and the judges, you are a little ignorant of realities my friend.

Right, but they kept implying they were scoring it from a 'Danish point of view' which was a ****'s trick because wherever you are from Kessler deserved the win. I agree being at home may have given Kessler that extra that he needed to get through those tough late rounds, but do i think it made a difference in terms of the judging? Only to the mong who scored it 117-111. Otherwise the scoring was just about spot on.

I listened to last nights fight on Radio 5 Live last night and the commentary was cringeworthy at times. In particular Steve Bunce, who I used to think was a good pundit let his personal bias completely overwhelm his analysis. In fairness, at least Richie Woodhall was more impartial and had to correct Bunce a few times over some of his claims about Froch's right hand.
Bunce claimed that Froch hd hurt his right hand, kept saying the same thing all night until Woodhall had enough and said that he had watched Froch spar and there was nothing wrong with his hand in training.
I'm British and the standard of our commentary these days is appalling, It's good to have enthusiatic pundits but some impartiality and commentary based on actual events would be so refreshing, just say it as it is FFS!!!!!

I honestly find the british anouncers to be some of the hardest anouncers on there own fighters that I've seen. So just cause Bunce is a fan doesn't make him a homer. He's a professional not a joe somebody that likes boxing.

It would be a travesty had a knockdown been ruled in the fifth.

In slow motion you see Froch miss all four punches that directly precede it. In NBA terms, these weren't shots off the rim or the backboard...they were airballs. Unless Kessler went down on an unprecedented delayed reaction to being hurt from an earlier blow (like at least ten seconds before he went down), it's safe to assume he went down as a result of dodging Froch's attack without his feet under him (Kessler's footwork was horrible all night).
