Very much a "Not taking anything away from Mikkel, BUT...." type interview.

...BUT I beat him by 2-3 rounds and I showed I can KO him.

In his mind, he probably DID KO Kessler...

There are many delusional fighters out there, but Froch has to rank somewhere in the Top 10 p4p.

    Pathetic.

Its just how a lot of them deal with the loss in order to maintain the confidence and self-belief to continue fighting.

He was a little churlish in "praising" Kessler but it wasn't that bad IMHO.

I read that he thought he would have got the decision if the fight had taken place in Notts which is hilarious for number of reasons.

Even Peter Shmichael doing the interview afterwards pulled Froch up over that comment.

Fighters are a different breed and they need to have excuses for they're own self belief, I accept that but I think Froch crossed into talking utter shite territory here.

"He looks a mess and I hope he's ok" made my toes curl

I actually laughed out loud when Schmichael did that because it was exactly what I was thinking.

I like Froch but my facial expression was somewhat like this when he said that.

    1. Carl took as much damage as Kessler in the fight
    2. Probably 80% scored the fight for Kessler, and 20% for Froch

lol Schmeichel was rubbish, but he did seem to know his stuff... he knew Carl had the debatable win over Dirrell...

I agree with Carl. He could well have got the nod over here. Real close fight IMO.

I think he would have won it in Notts. Not say he would have deserved it mind, but that he would have won it.

There were a lot of close rounds where he was jabbing Kess more. And the big rounds at the end would have been his. He easily would have won that.

Maybe in Notts but I don't think he'd have got it in say London. It was a reasonably clear fight for me.
