I´m not buying the BS that that´s how a fighter or athlete is supposed to speak, it´s just a cop out and way to defend a big mouthed egotistical maniac. How odd that nobody else in the recent era has expressed those thoughts except Floyd. In no other sport or even boxing do you see other athletes making these outrageous claims. Not even Michael Jordan is going to tell you I¨m the best in the world, even when everyone knows he was, not even Tiger Woods will tell you he is the best, not even Roger Federer is going to say he is the best and why is that? It´s because they respect the game, are humble and even though they all have a deep desire to be the best it´s not for them to decide. And now you have all the Floyd fans rushing to the rescue justifying it by saying that´s how an athlete is supposed to think, you´re supposed to think you are the best in the world and to that I say get the F out of here. You train and play to aspire to be the best but nobody is running around saying I´M THE BEST THAT´S EVER LIVED, self proclaiming it like just because he says it it´s true. If you have to call yourself the best guess what, you probably aren´t. Being the Best is easily recognized and others easily agree on it and it´s not for Floyd to decide

Floyd was right, it's not up to him to say whether Pacquiao is HOF or FOTD. However, the BWAA did name Pac as the FOTD for the 90s, and how likely is it that a FOTD won't even be a HOF'er? Truth hurts, Floydie!
