Chad is going to end up in the division at some point anyway. No point in sticking around and outclassing all the overmatched guys at 175. No point in a CW pit stop either. Just make the jump, take a tune up to get his feet wet, and then kick Adamek's ass again and then look for a title shot.

Dawson is by far America's best HW hope now and in the near future.

He should drop to super-middleweight it's closer than HW and he can go to HW later in his career .

    This.

  5. You base this on the fact that he beat Adamek? Dawson is the type of fighter that loses all his quickness as he moves up. And he doesn't have great power as it is...

Dawson doesn't have the build to move to heavy. Clearly Adamek was dropping way too much weight to be at light heavy, he had fought above the 175 pound limit a number of times, and even fought a cruiser before the Briggs fights. Simply put he was too big for the division and stayed too long.

Glen Johnson already nearly stopped Dawson (and beat him on my card) at Light Heavyweight. At Heavyweight I don't favour him down the stretch as the extra weight won't help his stamina.

Dawson would be too lean at anything over 190 lbs. H ewould be good enough to beat alot of HW's today but he would lose even more speed, and I dont think his chin would hold up to a Klitschko or Haye. He should stay at 175 for at least 3 or 4 more years hes not having trouble making weight. Remember he started at 160 lbs. There willl be some exciting fights for him to take in the next few years. IMO if Evander Holyfield staid at CW and gone up to 200 lbs when that division raised its limit by 10 lbs he could have retired in 1999 or 2000 with an undefeated record and be recognized as the greatest CW of all time.

and fight who? I would pick Cunningham to beat him at CW never mind those hard hitting HW. Dawson should stick to LHW for a few more yeas then maybe go up to CW.

I want him to dominate Lt.Hv. for a little while then go down to 168 and win titles there. Dawson would have a speed advantage at hvy. but why go there when he could just move down to 168? It's hot right now.

You beat me to the punch. He should stay right where he's at. I don't think he has the frame for heavyweight. Adamek has a much wider frame, and seemed drain at LHW.

The smart thing to do is to dominate 175 and wait for the big names at 168 to step up to the plate.

Adamek didn't look as small as I thought he would against Arreola he should do fine. I agree Dawson should stay where he's at for now.

Hell no, unless they create a Super Heavyweight Division. I'm tired of seeing small guys jump up to Heavyweight fighting these giants and fat sloppy giants.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Is the Pascal fight happening in Montreal? Of course I heavily favor Dawson in this fight but I'm concerned the ref might trip him a few times and score them as knockdowns. Maybe the ref will let the other corner beat Dawson with a stool between rounds to even things up.
