Im not being funny or anything but saying Germany is any better for home-town decisions is just ****in daft.
totally agree with you on that. total waste. he could of made abit more money fighting the calibre of fighters he's going against. surely even he must be thinking this.
The sad part was that Froch was gifted the decision against Dirrell because it was in his home town. It seems that Froch is a hard one to fight because of his style, its a little awkward. He might be a bit overated, beating a gassed taylor when your down on the scorecards doesnt exactly scream LEGENDARY. The next matchup will be interesting gainst AA, 2 big sluggers beating in out.
To people who haven't read the article: Froch AGREED this with Showtime some time ago. That's the fact of the matter. Abraham can't turn around now and want it changed.
If Sven Ottke fought in Germany, the only way to beat him was knock him out. Reid beat the crap out of him and lost a decision. Fight must be in UK, since that was the agreement.
No gift. Close fight which Dirrell threw away with his running, whining, falling and holding. If he fought as he did in the last three rounds from the start, he'd be WBC champion right now and Froch might even have a stoppage defeat on his record.
I don't think there's much to argue about. From the article... Froch's promoter, Mick Hennessy, claims to have an agreement in place to see the fight held in Britain. It has already been agreed that I would fight at home, fight away and a fight back at home. It has been agreed with Ken Hershman at Showtime (Super Six organisers) It was already decided that the fight would be in the UK. Abraham has no case for moving it to Germany.
He's also a bigger draw in Germany than Andre Dirrell is in the US. This tourney doesn't work like that. He knew the deal, he knew the score and is now attempting to renege on the agreed terms. Perhaps his act of cowardice in the Dirrell fight says more about the man than we first realised....
Sad to see Carl Froch acting like a schoolgirl throwin' a hissy fit and trying to dictate terms. If every fighter felt the same way as Croch it would instantly turn the Super Six into the Thrilling Three. Virtually no fights would get made, but then again maybe that isn't so bad as it would instantly eliminate the bottom rung of the competition. It would assure us fights between complete fighters, not just one dimensional, domestically fabled fighters. Croch needs to shut his trap and quit actin' like a girl. This content is protected
froch fought the wrong fight, he is terrible at going backwards, he ran like the way that chicken haye runs,i would love to see haye against james toney, toney would stop him in 8 rounds so accurate with puches
No idea what the **** this has to do with this thread but you clearly haven't seen much of David Haye's career or James Toney in the last 10 years or so.
