just watch the fight and it look like couture took a dive. he took a big knee then about 6seconds later lesner unloaded on him but missed, then next thing you know coutures on the floor. so was he still ****ed after the knee or did he take a dive??
Lesnar caught Randy with a punch it just didnt land clean, I think the wind of one of Lesnars punches would flatten most guys, his hands are like anvils, no way a dive imo.
I have heard this nonsense before. I don't buy it. They are also saying that BJ took a dive against Edgar. I don't buy that bull**** neither.
I don't think they are as heavy as most people think, he hasn't KOed anyone yet, sure he has tko's but he hasn't laid anyone out yet no one punch ko's. I actually think they are weak for a man his size. Carwin on the otherhand he KO's people!
Carwin's boxing is much more refined. Lesnar stopped his first opponent with short range shots. He dropped Mir with a right hand before being subbed. He dropped Herring with a right hand. He dropped and stopped Couture with punches. He completed busted Mir up with blows. I think in every fight he has had he has shown heavy hands. His boxing simply isn't refined yet. Carwin can let 5 left uppercuts go in a fight. Lesnar probably doesn't even practice that on the pads.
He still hasn't dropped anybody to end a fight. Pretty much anyfighter can/does that. Heavy hands means knock OUT power NOT knock DOWN power.
He isn't an out and out striker though. Every time he puts a right hand on them he turns it into GnP or wrestling. Plus he can do it early or late in a fight. It is not easy to punch like Carwin does. Knocking people OUT is hard and can be rare.
couture wouldn't throw a fight imo. much more prestige to be champion than doing that, he's already made enough money.
I think there have been some high profile fixes, but this doesn't strike me as one. Couture has been hittin gthe deck every time he gets hit for a while now. A combination of Chuck and age ruined his chin.
