It looks like the Super 6 could possibly be in line for more controvesey. Allan Green's next two fights are against Ward and Kessler. So he's now guarenteed two title shots. However, he has zero points. Everyone else in the tourney has at least 2 points. So what happens if Green loses to Ward and then beats Kessler? If that happens, it's possible that Green and Kessler would both be eliminated and Green would leave with the WBA title. That could be disasterous.

This tourney is supposed to establish one of these guys as the top SMW. However, if the scenario plays out as stated above, the winner would only have one belt. Even worse, one of the eliminated fighters could wind up collecting 3 belts by the time the winner of the Super Six is crowned. Hopefully, Green either wins or loses both of his fights.

I think the tournament is bigger than the belts. Actually, belts are meaningless nowadays.

This is an interesting scenario. If Green comes out of the tournament with a belt he took from Kessler. Kessler would be looking at retirement I assume, and Green a unification bout with Bute. This would be too perfect for Bute. The other top SMW continue to beat each other up, while Bute grabs another Trinket and more bargaining power.

The belts doesn't matter, and it wouldn't be controversial if someone left with a belt, unless it was in a controversial way.

Belts don't matter for superstars. These guys aren't superstars. The point of this tourney was to find out who the top SMW is. However, how can the winner call themelves the best SMW if some guy like Bute is sitting there with 3 belts?

Bute would have been a better choice than Green to replace Taylor.

Anyone know why he wasn't chosen?

It's going to take a lot of luck and negotiating to keep this thing from flying apart. Who want's to fight in Germany aside from a German market fighter? The only fair fights that occur in Germany are Klitschko fights and that is only because they dominate everyone.

Why would he want to join a 'competition' where all the other competitors would have more chances than him to accumulate points?

Because they've beaten the top boxers. Why would they care about Bute if he won't fight the top boxers?
