I am surprised fat Mick did not protest about Roger Tilleman being a ringside judge. Fat **** Tilleman does not deserve to be within 100 miles of a boxing ring.
If that is the deal that has been made then it should be honoured. Froch fought Kessler, another Sauerland fighter, in Denmark even though Froch was the Champion and coming of a win, whereas Kessler was coming off a loss. It is Sauerlands turn to honour the agreement.
AA is a massive name in germany, froch is a tiny name here. no way will hennesy be able to match what sauerland could offer without bankrupting himself i reckon, fight will be germany for sure i think
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXmSPbWJ2_4[/ame] This should tell you everything you need to know. Watch the whole fight if you have time, the man is a ****ing disgrace :fire
my favourite bit during reid ottke was when he warned reid/stopped the action for hitting ottke square in the face...
Watching this again I can understand why Froch isn't overly keen on going to Germany on a Sauerland bill.
From a promotion point of view i think hennessy should try and negotiate a deal to get froch on sky. He might get more viewers on itv thats true but they will do little for it in the way of promotion, putting a couple of adds on 2 or 3 dats before the fight. Look at the coverage haye has got since he signed to sky, they drum up interest on sky sports news and get him in studio, show his press conferences live. If they can get abraham at the city ground and give sky assurances they can fill it then they might be interested.
A bit hopeful that. They didn't even sell out the TrentFM Arena for the Dirrell fight. Don't quite think his profile has really raised at all since then to suggest he can get anywhere near selling out the City Ground.
Well you would have thought Kessler was an easy sell i dont think Abraham will be ITV/SBO material especially as tis two fighters coming off a loss
No interest. No casual fan knows what the super 6 even is. The lack of promotion for this in Britain has been repulsive.
Yep. Quite funny people saying that fights like last night should raise interest. Well, no, because no-one saw it. I work with a number of people who are typical sport fans, no hardcore boxing fans. The kind of people who watched Hatton and bought Haye v Valuev. We occasionally discuss Pacquiao or Mayweather. None of them had the faintest idea there was a fight going on last night and I doubt they know now either.
