Whether or not it's close, does a Mayweather win on Saturday make him #1 P4P?

Everyone bitches about a catchweight, to this I say

ITS 2 ****ING POUNDS-not like making a lightweight put on 15lbs to fight him
ITS STILL IN THE WELTERWEIGHT LB RANGE
COTTO AGREED TO IT AND PUT HIS TITLE ON THE LINE

Last but not least-who the **** has mayweather fought in the welterweight division to rank himself number 2. Sharmba Mitchell-Carlos Baldomir-GTFOH with that ****

    Uhm.

    No he hasn't.

Mayweather was inactive for 1 year 9 months.

Mosley will be inactive for 1 year, 3 months.

The one and only thing that I think will warrant Mayweather usurping Pac at no 1 will be if he beats Mosley in a style similar to how badly beat Gatti, and even that's a stretch. Pacquiao hasn't done anything to NOT deserve being at no 1.

    But anyway...http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=215437

About half a year. Plus Mosley began training for the Berto fight honing his skills a little bit.

No, only a victory over Pac would put him #1.

The problem for Floyd is that if he does his typical thing and has a boringly dominant fight where Mosely never looks good then half the people will say Mosely is 38 and old so it doesn't mean anything.

If Mosely looks great, wins some rounds, but Floyd is just spectacular and wins while dishing out serious abuse to Mosely then Floyd has a case for being #1 p4p.

If Floyd wins in a fashion like he did vs Oscar then no, he's not p4p #1.

  13. If he stops Shane then there is a case to be made. Otherwise no.

Keep in mind Pacquiao TKO'd a guy who just beat Mosley 2 fights ago.

Yeah, but slowly it will turn in favour of Pac.

Pac fans are more than May fans around here, and May haters are more than Pac haters.

I'm even surprised the poll is that balanced so far.

    Only if he wins convincingly.
