Actually Spaddy in his prime had some pretty good skills. He took Pito Cardona to school big time. But overall he just doesnt have the power to keep Kat off of him the Casamayor was able to. Plus he wasnt a very moblie boxer. I think Kat eventually gets inside, and beats him down.
Mmmm im starting to think Katsidis power is overrated pretty badly his power was great against less than stellar opponents but now he is fighting world class he doesn't seem to get as much respect... i think his pressure is more the factor if you watch closely, he tends to slap his punches when he gets inside, he isnt the fighter that KO'd Earl, better yes, but not the same. Bit more cautious now Spadafora was a good little fighter back in the day but didnt have the power to make Kats respect him as you said, his defense was quite good though, still Kats KO late IMO
I never said Kat was a big puncher. He certainly doesnt have the type of power that a guy like Maidana has. But still, Kat hit harder then Leonard Dorin, and Dorin busted up Spaddy badly.
Spaddy UD. Juan Diaz didnt have power to bother Katisdis yet he boxed his ears off and showed he was a class above. I know they have different styles but I find it hard to believe that Diaz can aviod getting hit by Katisdis and Spaddy cant. I think Spaddy cuts him up bad too early in the fight.
