So he fought and beat Chris Arreola. Awesome, good job dude. But it was a tough fight... Despite what Adamek said afterwards, I think it was pretty obvious that some of Arreola's shots hurt him. Sure, Arreola isn't a joke, but he sure as hell isn't on the level of a Klitschko. When I watched the Adamek / Arreola fight I didn't see a good heavyweight beat another good heavy weight; I saw a great light weight beat a good heavy weight. That won't be enough against the best in the division. The best you will be able to do in the heavy weight division is be a dangerous gate keeper or a very temporary champion...

On another note... I found the fight to be very entertaining. Whether I think Adamek can rule the division or not I will watch all his fights at heavy weight. However, I still think he lost his way and stumbled into the wrong division...

WTF can turn down those heavyweight dollars? But, the guy is gonna make for some good heavyweight fights, no doubt.

he looks very bloated and uncoordinated as a heavyweight and he's no where near as sharp as he was in the lower weight divisions. Both he and Arreola were carrying around too much weight the other night. It made for an entertaining yet ugly battle.

:good YEy i agree, as it is i had the fight even, Adamek fought a disciplined in fight but he didnt look to be a future champ or anything special at HW. If Arreola weighed 20lbs i less i have no doubt that he would have finished Adamek.

Aside from the Klitschko's Arreola was proably the worst matchup for him possible.

He'll be much more competitive vs any other top HW. Who else is Chris's size? No one really. Most top HW are around Adamek's size. He wants the money the division has to offer and can probably beat most guys out there why would he move down.

Sam Peter? Valuev is bigger. Tony Thompson? Sexton?

Just off the top of my head. Oh and Tua.

 Wh-wh-wh-wh-wh-wh-wha...? I had it a comfortable win for Adamek and then I rewatched and thought I was being too generous with Arreola!

    kind of my point.

Valuev dwarfs everyone and 6'1 Chagaev beat him most convincingly.

Sexton isn't a top HW. Peter and Thompson Tomasz would certianly be able to compete with, good chance of winning. So why exactly should he move down?

Oh I don't think he should
move down. But getting a major title is going to be tough. He has NO shot against Vitali, only a punchers chance against Wlad, and I would pick Haye to beat him fairly convincingly.

It he wants money he is in the right division. If he wants to be champ, then he could DOMINATE the cruisers for the next 3-4 years or until Chad Dawson moved up.

    I understand what you're saying.

At the same time, despite its weakened state, the heavyweight division is still the most prestigious in boxing.

There is big money to be made at heavyweight and Adamek has earned a right to some big money fights.

Is he best suited for heavyweight? **** NO!

But he's still THAT TALENTED that he can beat a consensus top five heavyweight like Arroela.

Why rain on the parade after three consecutive wins?

Will he beat either Klit? That is a highly unlikely scenario.

    SO WHAT?

Nobody out there will beat a Klit until one of them suffers a freak injury in all liklihood.

Adamek is now as deserving at a shot as anyone.

He boxed BRILLIANTLY and Shields and Bloodworth did a great job with him.

I actually give Adamek a better chance against Vitali than Wladimir.

Vitali is slower, more prone to injury, and has showed signs of decline in his last 3 fights (Gomez and Arreola, in particular).

It could just be "the right moment" for someone to fight Vitali in his next fight or so.

Also, I think Adamek beats Tua (mentioned by you in an earlier post) and I think he's 50-50 with Haye.

Haye destroys the Adamek we saw last night. If Arreolas slow ass punches can get to Adamek, Haye will be connecting with regularity. If they get in the ring, PM me and I will gladly throw some money down on that one.

As for Vitlai, think about the post you just wrote. You are hoping for a perfect storm of events to happen just for Adamek to have a chance.

At least with Wlad he could put him down. At least 15 punches he put on Arreola would have BADLY hurt Wlad.

I agree. If Adamek is really smart he'll only take guys roughly his size at HW or drop back down. He's pushing it, and after his last two fights he should be fairly clear on the realities of the situation.

R, Makes a good point as well. Especially about the timing. Vital is looking creaky and slow. Still might be too much, but it's not a horrible gamble for the huge payoff.

It might not be his division, but who the hell are you to say he cant fight and open up a can of whoop ass on 99 percent of it if he want. 3 and 0 against legit comp. You, fail.
