There was a reason his face was swollen and his left eyebrow was slashed open. You're right no one could see his defence, including Kessler who punched right through it.

You are one of the worst posters on ESB at the moment.

He obviously has selective vision because he believes a video where Froch gets hit square in the face by a jab is demonstrative of great defence ;)

Its hardly indicative of a leaky one either is it...the teeing up jab lands (barely) and the right hand, having been tee'd up misses by a ****ing fortnight --but you can guarantee that that punch was viewed by many on here and the judges to have landed square on Frochs chin

Like Tillerman knew what his scorecard would be before the fight, I knew what mine would read.

We all also knew how scorecards of over half the posters here would take shape.

Who cares if it hit his chin or his face? It caught him square in the face, follow the glove onto his face and watch. Christ its in slow mo, are you guys blind? No wonder half of you simply can not score a fight when you have trouble seeing the most obvious things at 20% speed ;)

I was there and had kessler winning by 2. Can live with 8-4 but the other scorecard is off the mark. How did showtime score it, anyone know?

Exactly. its what I call a good defence. Kessler did hit Froch but only when Froch was being carless and he got the big ones in. for the most part Kessler was not landing clean shots. Kesslers face was smashed up.

Those rights to the body looked pretty clean. Are we still scoring for body shots these days?

No, scoring bodyshots or punches during clinches was abolished in the mid-1990s. Get with the times.

    Round 1

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b11Bvxta6yk&feature=channel[/ame]

Kessler landed 11 shot, Froch landed 6.

Froch's punhes on average were harder, however Kessler landed 3/5 hardest shots in the round.

Biased people will give the round to Froch based on his average punch being harder
, forgetting that Kessler landed a few (not quite as many as Froch) hard shots of his own, plus plenty of very light punches too.

3 hard shots + 8 light shots>4 hard shots + 2 light shots. for me.
