Tunney UD Foster btw. Tunney's chin was great, so he could stand up to Foster's bombs (one of the very few HW champs without a stoppage loss on his resume). He was also a great Boxer. I think he outboxes Foster and wins a decisive decision.

I'm lost, but RJJ over Saad. Saad took too many shots. Jones was too accurate to lose to somebody so easy to hit. Jones was also very elusive.

Qawi over Conteh. Conteh was good but Qawi was better. Conteh's punches don't bother Qawi at all. Conteh knocked out a good amount of fighters but very few top fighters. Qawi will be able to get close and do what he does best even if he has to eat a few punches. Qawi's power is enough to rock Conteh and keep him off balance thruout the fight. I don't think we will see a knockdown and the decision will be somewhat close.

Thanks for the input Hookie. We're in agreement all the way thus far.

Conteh was very heavy handed, like most of the top guys of that era really.Remember he had bad right hand problems and serious dedication issues after the controversial parlov fight that saw hi become ore of a pure boxer.Even then yaqui and Saad were stunned and hurt a fair few times when he opened up with the hook and injured right.

He hurt and got the respect of everyone he fought and a lot of the better guys like Finnegan and Ahuada had some of the best chins of that era.Conteh actually had finnegan hurt and rocked just as much as Foster from single shots when he fought in a stalking style in their rematch.

Just looking at the fact he ddin't stop a nuber of the better gighters he faced doesn't do his power justice imo.Same with Mustafa Muhammed/

I'm not saying he didn't have decent power, he did have good power. I just don't think he would hurt Qawi (only Holyfield and Foreman stopped him). I don't see Qawi dropping Conteh either. I feel they both had decent power... just don't see either one of them going down in this fight.

Qawi's plodding footwork is what ends up losing the day for him, similar to what happened against Spinks, who mainly utilized the jab to keep Qawi at bay all night long.
