"It would take at least a million quid for me to fight in Germany - the same money I'd get in the semi-final or final - because I wouldn't get the decision on points over there,"

    -Carl Froch

Froch has threatened to quit if he doesn't get what he wants. But what's the fair solution? Contrary to what has beens stated, there was no pre-agreement as to where this bout would take place. The tourney contract states the fight should take place in Europe or wherever it makes the most commercial sense for everyone involved. Both Froch and Abraham fought their first fight at home. Both just fought their most recent fight on the road. Abraham had to make transatlantic trip while Froch had to take a 1 hr. flight. Froch claims he won't get a fair shake in Germany, but Froch was on the winning end of a controversial decision against Dirrell that took place in Nottingham. I think Froch is being a sore loser right now. He should just calm down and let the promoters handle it. Making childesh threats and trying to strongarm people is not the right way to handle the situation.

    Agreed.

I know it couldn't happen, but I wish this (and most of the other fights, tbh) would take place in neutral territory.

In my opinion the key is "wherever it makes the most commerical sense." As long as they use top notch judges and a good ref everything should work out.

I dont beleive sauderland when he says there was no verbal agreemant, that man is a scumbag......

I dont think froch would lie about somthing like this, he might be a jackass, but he isnt a liar....

I think sauderland is trying to stack the deck for there golden boy by bullying froch's promoter (hennesey-this guy is horrible) around.....

Woah there fella. It's all speculation at the moment; nobody's proven anything as of yet. All sides are saying different things but you're obviously taking Sauerland's word as fact. I don't believe anything right now. I'll wait a bit longer until actual facts emerge. Also remember verbal contracts can be legally binding.

Froch is dillusional. I read this crap in todays paper. He has such an inflated opinion of himself that he actually thinks Sauerland are going to hand over a cool mil as a bonus for him to fight Abraham?

He said in the ring that he had no excuses. Now his changed his tune and says he was robbed hence why he wants a signing bonus... Someone needs to tell Froch to buy a clue.

It's such a load of **** that boxing has got to the point where the judges are this **** and untrusted not to show bias.

That needs sorting out. It's like they just put any old person as the judges.

Why do I need good luck getting one enforced? I'm not a promotor and really couldn't give a **** where it's held. I'm just waiting for the dust to settle and a date/venue to be agreed amicably. I wanna see a fight in the ring, not out of it.

Allegedly, yes. Just reminding people who completely dismiss them as meaningless. Not suggesting it's easy though.

Froch was given a close decision at home which I thought Dirrell won. He lost a close (on 2 cards) decision on the opponent's home ground, which I thought Kessler won. I think that Froch could beat Abraham but it will surely be close, so I can understand why he wants the fight at home.

However it is quite hypocritical. Before this fight a reporter asked him if he needed to knock out Kessler to win. He replied that he would get a fair decision. I fact I have the quote from the scene of boxing:

Now if Froch is happy about the judges before the fight after previously getting what I thought was a gift against Dirrell, but then complains about being robbed when he genuinely loses it does seem hypocritical.

Hennesy have about as much economic clout as Greece. Froch can say what he likes. The hell he's going to turn down a pay day like that. He's got to be super stupid to turn down money like that.
