Not necessarily but Adamek has the "frame" to fill in at heavy.

How can you say that someone is in the wrong division if he just beat a top 10 fighter and he himself is being ranked at 4 on boxrec? Yeah he might be undersized when it comes to boxers like Klitschkos but that does not mean he cant compete in this devision. If Arreola lost to someone who does not belong in the HW division then where does he belong?

This is a ridiculous statement coming from an obvious hater. In almost every fight (w/ the exception of the Golota fight) Adamek was the underdog coming into the fight because of his size. He has proved all of his critics wrong so far, and that's what he's about. From a standpoint of strategy and smarts I think he's in the perfect division. The HW division is no longer about these rough brawlers who just swing wildly, it's about guys who are very disciplined in the ring, who have a strategy and stick with it. I believe it started with Lennox Lewis and was passed down to now with the K brothers. If Adamek goes directly for a K brother now I think it will be a mistake, he needs another cushion fight before fighting those guys. I believe he can take on Haye in his next fight, Haye is a huge hype job that has proven much less in the HW division than Adamek has. I believe if Adamek continues to get better between this and his next fight, as much as he did between his fight vs. Estrada and recently against Arreola, he could be Vitali if he's still around. Against Wladimir I don't see it happening.

I think Vitali's underrated around here because of the fight against Johnson. When someone is fighting to survive and has good movement and good chin, it's always hard to knock him out.

Compare Vitali's fight against Sam Peter with Wlad's and you'll see that despite his age, Vitali is still the harder Klitschko to beat.

I like this one, but to be honest, boxrec rankings are very stupid sometimes. They have Danny Green #3 at CW

Yeah they are stupid sometimes, but i think some other ratings should have Adamek at number 4 and if not number 4 then for sure top 10. How can a top 10 fighter not belong to the devision? So what does it say about every boxer below rank 10?

I think he did fine against one of the biggest punchers in the division

Why would he want to fight any of the guys you just mentioned.? He's higher ranked than any of them.

Not anymore. The Peter fight was 5 years ago for Wlad. He's had 8 title defenses since then and he has improved. Also, boxers, especially heavies tend to lose it all at once. Vitali, in my opinion is really close. He's not nearly as fast as he used to be and he doesn't hit as hard. Of course, he's still tough and can take a punch, but he's beatable.

    Good post.

That's why I worded it the way I did.

Adamek is going to have to evolve to even have a shot against Haye. The difference in handspeed will be noticeable, and Haye will have that advantage.
