the funny thing is, he believes he has an elusive style that is hard to hit lol. i cant believe how low he holds his hands also.

i hope he gets a rematch wiith both dirrell and kessler in the semis/final

    Drew Dirrell, Beat Kessler.

If the point-deduction didn't happen I think I would have had Dirrell up.

Based on clean effective punching... I think Dirrell won. He simlply outlanded Froch and did sadly make him look very clumsy at times.

However, as many ppl think, Direll walked the line between boxing on the back foot and running away. At times, he was certainly running away. He didn't take the title from Froch.

I has Kessler winning by 2 points on the night but having watched it twice again since then.. I score it for Froch by 1 round. He lands the more effective punches in the close rounds.. though he is on the back foot most of the night and a bit lazy early on.

Neither result was a robbery though. Press were mixed in both fights.. Hard to score.

hard to score indeed! if you take out all the swing rounds from both fights, you have very few rounds of boxing left!

    Very true!

I reckon Froch can beat AA.. Outwork him. He seriusly needs to put his hands up though. Everyone else can land flush on Froch, AA will be no different! Then again, he's got that granite chin... hmmmm.

Gonna be a really tense night for a Froch fan!

I think he lost them both, narrowly to Dirrell but I had it pretty wide for Kessler.

I wouldn't worry too much about Calzaghe's fans opinion, if someone is any more than indifferent to the likes of Calzaghe then imo they don't even like what boxing is supposed to be about.

I had Froch winning the Dirrell fight 7-5, but you would have a strong case for a draw.

I had Froch drawing with Kessler, but you would have a strong case for Froch.

I think two draws would be the fairest decisions.

I don't know, but do you guys consider ring generalship at all when you score rounds?
I know opinions differ, and some close rounds might go both ways and all that, but Kessler really owned that ring, and constantly kept Froch on the defensive. You could clearly see it was HIS fight all the way, and that counts for a lot when a fight is scored.
Not that it matters much, but I bet you'd see that generalship reflected in CompuBox numbers, if they should ever surface.

Generalship is what gave Froch the victory agains Dirrell, btw, more so than any home advantage. I actually scored it for Dirrell, but I do understand and accept that it didn't go his way. You don't win a belt by being chased around the ring all night by a stonger man.
