While Julio was boxing, I don't think he was boxing effectively aside from three or four rounds and even then he was still getting hit quite a bit.

I want to see Williams-Angulo.... badly. And I'm going to bet on it! One think for Angulo is that he is improving. So yes he will be out-box badly by a very good slick fighter like Martinez now. But after a couple of fights more who knows

I thought Julio was boxing effectively, but for whatever reason he quit throwing his hands and instead opted to run around the ring which allowed Angulo to take over.

I defer to any who have watched more boxing but I just wonder if that style has it's limits - it can be outslicked. It is fun to watch.

Thanks for posting it man the KO was brutal. I just can't believe Julio complained about the stoppage afterwards !! He wasn't able even to look straight at the referee. I don't now what do you guys think but Angulo was criticized for being slow which is in part true. But his right hook looks quite fast to me

Of course it can it showed in the Cintron fight. But he can always catch with the boxer and KO him in the way he did with Julio.

Word is that Angulo's team is dragging him down...

one of my friends sent me this:

I attended the Angulo/Julio weight in. Alfredo was two hours late, and when he arrived he was being carried into the weight in. Angulo looked horrible at the weight in, completley drained. His entourage was pumped for Angulo...MEXICAN FIGHTERS DON'T HAVE AN ENTOURAGE!! The second he stepped off the scale one of his entourage members yelled "AGUA" water give him water. He sat through Joel Julio weight in.

The whole time this blonde girl posed for the camaras as if she was the main attraction.
She did not bother to hand Alfredo her unopened bottle of water, nor did she rush to catch him before he collapse into his seat. She just stood "swollowing" her new found fame. Taking every drop of it in, where was Alfredo's girlfriend / mother of his child. She was not at the press conference nor did she attened his bout with Julio at the Citizens Busines Bank Arena.

Why is an elite boxer like Angulo, who is 27 YEARS OF AGE struggling so much to make weight? Why does he have a 15 person entourage? Why can't those people in his entourage speak up in front of the media, they always whisper in his ear?

In short Alfredo Angulo will either sink or swim this year not based on his boxing skills. But it will be based on the scum bags that suck the life from his soul, and whisper in his ear.

    Great punch.

Julio did well to get back on his feet from that.

Sheeeyit, that's no good to hear. All I know is his daughter Rebeca is adorable and he loves his mother, also named Rebeca. Gotta love a gutsy, no-mercy, old-school Mexican fighter with a soft side out of the ring.

Terrible if he's being managed poorly. I'd like to see him rematch Cintron one day but I think PWill outworks him, or maybe see him against the loser of Foreman-Cotto.

Julio was doing well boxing early but he slowed down later on and was getting hit more and more. That only spelled disaster for him which it did resulting in a great ko. Angulo showed why I am a fan of him that night.
