Many guys here are pure boxing fans. Liked Floyd and his style from the beginning. The PROBLEM is all the unwarranted talk about how great he is. Too many posers do this kind of **** and it begins to put people off, even Mayweather fans. Money is money. Floyd is a indeed a draw and as many people pay to see him beat as fans pay to watch him win. To publicly claim that you are BETTER than Muhammad Ali and BETTER than Sugar Ray Robinson is where I have a problem. Better in what way. Why do you think he can lay claim to being the best boxer ever?
I agree with the fact that some of his fans are hard to bear if you are already annoyed by him. Which is why I said the exact same thing about Pac in a similar thread. To me though, the only difference is that Floyd fans don't viciously throw out personal attacks at him and his fans to nearly the same magnitude as Pac fans every time you say something unflattering about the guy.
I agree with both posts above. I feel like he may want to keep his bold claims to himself, but at the same time when it comes to competition you give me both my grandmas in a game of 3 on the 3 half court I feel like I'm going to win. Confidence, which is different then pride, is essential especially in the fight game. PBF is so damn good because he has trained his ass off... and he feels that no one is going to beat him. His mental outlook on a fight has a slight hint of fear, covered by extreme confidence. When he is in the ring his training and belief in himself take over, and that is why he has his 0
PBF is very highly regarded as a boxer, even by his "haters". He's the most skilled technician of this generation. He is not respected as a celebrity. If you don't understand the latter, then you haven't been listening to how he talks about opponents & critics for the past 10 years or so. I mean, if a sports reporter even compliments a different boxer, PBF reacts as if it's a personal insult. That sort of insecurity as a ****ing 33 year old man won't gain more fans...
Money/PBF and Floyd are essentially 2 different people. Money is the guy that you are seeing now, calling Shane a kid, calling Marquez Pee-pee mouth etc. Floyd is the guy after the fight that gives his opponent a hug and credit during the post fight, that helps out homeless people, and runs a charity. Unfortunately most ESB idiots can't distinguish between the two.
u hate floyd so much but u post on THREADS about him more than any other fighter...:deal GO LOOK AT YOUR POST HISTORY FOR A SOURCE:hi:
Say what ya want ni33a but U BE GETTING OWNED ALL THE TIME UP ON ESB:nut AND AGAIN.. UR POST HISTORY SHOWS U POST MORE ABOUT FLOYD THAN ANY OTHER FIGHTER hi:
I wouldnt exactly call him a scumbag and his antics outside the ring only endear him to 12 year olds or adults who act like 12 year olds. I hadn't really had a problem with Mayweather till the Marquez fight, when you make a lightweight come up 2 weight classes and then don't even make weigiht yourself(I think the most disrespectful thing you can do in boxing). Then the pacquaio debate made it worse, its won thing to talk a little smack but when your going after a mans reputation with no proof because your scared to fight him it just pissed me off.
Really? Cheating to make weight(Funeka, Chavez Jr.), Steroids and PEDs(Mosley, Toney), Continuously fouling(Golota, Tyson), loading gloves(Margarito, Resto(Panama Lewis)) are all not more disrespectful than showing up 2 lbs over?
your not very hard to own..I'VE DONE IT MANY TIMES IN MANY THREADS..UR REBUTTALS ARE ABOUT LIKE WHAT YOU PUT ABOVE..THEY HAVE **** TO DO WITH BOXING CUZ U KNOW I EXPOSE ALL THE LITTLE HOLES IN YOUR ARGUMENT..:hi::bbb
:rofl His boxing talk is very limited! (outside of Floyd or Manny) http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/search.php?searchid=1136728&pp=25
