After Amir Khan's series of stupid tweets

I dont mind him, or didnt mind him rather but his arrogance and stupidity is incredible. And he seems to be getting worse rather than maturing.

First off he was fighting bums while declaring what he'd do to people like Juan Manuel Marquez, fair enough I suppose, annoying but just the usual bravado.

Then we have the "I'd be a superstar if I was white", the words of an ungrateful, petulant brat. The fact his dad was doing damage control hours later spoke volumes.

And his latest, on twitter, slagging off the man who's just gone through Taylor, Dirrell and Pascal while Khan has fought pretty much no one. Oh yeah, and what he's writing is littered with spelling mistakes while telling people to refer to him as "King Khan". Froch was fair game for a reply, after all he's criticised Amir but the way he went about it was cringeworthy.

I dont dislike him but he's thick as shite and certainly hard to like.

 

Never been a Khan fan.

 

I still don't rate him and think Malignaggi will give him a tough test.

 

As above i never been a fan. I'm not really a fan of people who have had it handed to them on a plate. He won my respect coming back from defeat and winning a world title but he's just a arrogant fraud who i have no time for now. If he beat a Bradley and took on the best like Froch has done in his division i'd have a higher opinion of him but at this time i'd like to see him get beaten and humbled nicely by someone soon...hopefully Magic Man can do us a favor and beat him.

 

I don't think khan gloating about froch getting beat is a bad thing, the two men clearly dislike one another and the fact that khan is pleased about it is not surprising. Could he have kept his comments to himself? yes but in the grand scheme of things who cares. Froch has a big mouth and can't expect people to not comment on his career when he spews more rubbish than an icelandic volcano about others.

If people can stop supporting a fellow brit because of some tweets than they didn't support him in the first place.

Say what you like about mundine but he sells fights and is an entertainer.
Froch is David Brent, I want to support all the British champions but Froch makes it impossible, I wasn't desperate for him to lose but at the same time I didn't mind kessler winning one bit.

Honestly if you were Amir khan would you keep quiet? :deal I have great anticipation for Calzaghe's comments also.

 

The only fight where Khanhas won and ive been pretty happy with was his fight with Kotelnik, as i thought Kotelnik was/is a good operator, not great but good.

Plus i as much as i hate to say it was very impressed with how Khan fought. But outside of that i totally cant stand the man.

 

Cobra fans have had their collective cage rattled.

 

I very much doubt there'll be any from Calzaghe.

 

To be fair mate as much as I really do like Froch the blow was most definitely softened by the fact it was Kessler to whom he lost his '0'.

I dont think i've ever had a bad word to say about him and I really really respect the bloke. I love him at the weigh ins - he's like an excited child unable to contain himself.
