He has to be really impressive to counter the REALITY that SSM is 39 years old. If he pulls off something at the Marquez or below that level of performance, you will not get as much credit.

You have to perform better than expected. But knowing PBF's discipline, he will do just enough to beat him. So unless SSM shows more than expected, it would be very difficult for those 2 reasons -

    SSM age
    PBF's discipline

Floyd will dominate Mosley but whoever he beats he will have hater's.

If he beat Cotto or Clottey they would say "well Pacquiao already beat them"

Funny how they dont say that about Hatton or DLH........

I wont give him props, he will beat a bloke who got battered by Mayorga for 11 rounds.

You get mayweather in a ring with Manny Pacquiao for 12 rounds

If he wins that ill give him props.

Any fight fan knows thats the fight we all wanna see

If he never faces him, he will always be regarded as a chicken.

    "Im cleaning the sport up"

Funny how you never mentioned steroids before Manny started whooping everyones ass, now all of a sudden you keep talking about how fighters die in the ring because of steroids and how you want boxing to be clean.

Floyd himself has been constantly calling attention to Shane's age in the 24/7 series. He keeps stressing how it's ridiculous that someone that old doesn't fight 'for money', bla bla. The fact is that Mosley IS old, and being dominant against a known cheater who had a perfect style for him doesn't mean much in context of a Floyd match.

Mosleys age is irrelevant in that he is still probably 3rd at WW. So what else should he do? Fight Berto? Is that a better fight? Its either mosley or pac and the mosley fight is long overdue. What would have happened peak V peak is hypothetical. This is where we are and SSM still has a lot in the tank despite being below his best. I don't think this is peak floyd either altho he is closer to it.

If he beats SSM then pac there can be no complaints left IMO

Why do so many bang on about Floyd ducking Cotto and Margarito so? Because Mosley has proved he is at or above their level, even at 38. He's too old to compete with Floyd but he's not too old to smash Margarito around the ring?

Is mayweather shining his bicycle again for action?

If he wins by potshotting or in other words, dominant, as the floydette like to term it, he will definitely get the credit.

It just shows that Mosley can not catch up with him, but he will sure get credit as a fast fighter.

There's no objectivity in hate. Floyd will never get respect from those type people.

Well, I'm saying right now that Shane is old, and I expect Floyd to handle him fairly easily. However, Shane is also one of the best welterweights in the world regardless and beating him still counts for something.
PBF shouldn't be punished for beating an older Mosley, but similarly it's not going to have the same significance as two prime fighters at the top of their game fighting each. Nobody's fault, it's just the way it is.
