A shot Cotto can still beat Foreman.. but I think Foreman beats him right now.

I love to watch Cotto fight, but in his two losses he took an extended beating. He is not the same fighter.

If that's the case, by reverse logic if foreman is defeated it would be a testament to the fact that Cotto isn't shot..?

I was just laughing at the jedi-mind-trick logic.

But seriously, if he isn't shot, Arum should put him in the ring against Paul.

True, but if Cotto gets his ass handed to him people would most probably say he's shot, despite the fact that IMO there was no guarantee that he could have beaten Pwill in the first place, Pre-margo or not.

Edit: LOLL just noticed the wtf logic in that one post

After the Foreman fight, Cotto should be targeting Berto.

Cotto will get hurt by Martinez and PDubya.

Exactly. Winnable fight and picks up another belt and possibly sets himself up against the top players.

He can run but he can't hide. Eventually he will have to answer to the Grim Reaper.

And if he targets Berto, while PW and Sergio are looking to get in the ring with him, will you guys begin to realize he's not the almighty fearless warrior who will fight anyone?

once he goes back to 147 he wont lose to pw . taking a martinez fight doesnt make sense at 154. plus martinez wontbe leaving 160 anytime soon. he will dispose ofberto andthen handle who is next.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you mean moot, not "mute". Unless you're saying that this thread can't speak, which doesn't really make any sense.

 Oh yeah, and let's assume after that he beats Mayweather and Pacquiao in consecutive bouts and then goes on to defeat both Klitschkos and........... Well, I think you know what I'm getting at.

Personally, I don't think he'll ever be the same again, but speaking realistically for a moment, 'IF' he can defeat Foreman and then maybe take on and defeat Andre Berto afterward, he can reclaim some glory again and get a shot at the top guys once again. I think that 'IF' is entirely possible. He just needs to get past Foreman which I'm not too sure he can do.

And if I were Cotto's handlers, I would keep him away from Margarito until we see what both of them have left in the tank. If you're backing Cotto you don't want a repeat of what happened the last time.
