    This :deal

His conditioning as you said isn't good. Technique is ****ing horrible, he telegraphs like no one else. Often feet leave the ground when he leaps in, and his elbows stick out about a second before he punches. But despite that he managed to get this far, so I think with proper training (including nutrition) he could do more than he does now.

This all falls on Arreola, he is the boss not his friend, furthermore he is too fat & out of shape to just start jogging, he could get injured. What he first needs to do is bring in someone like Goosen who can improve his style, punching technique, strategy etc. After that he needs to bring in a fitness coach and a cook to get him in shape. Finally while he gets himself together he should fight frequently over a 12 month period, about 4 or 5 fights against tomato cans while he refines his skills to align them with his talents before fighting an elite. I'n about a year he could be much slimmer and more skilled and athletic which would make him very dangerous.

Arreola could try the above BUT he won't, he has no discipline and no dedication when it comes to being a PROFESSIONAL boxer. Shane Mosley at 38 can still handle himself because he works hard, he knows how to eat and train yet he still has a cook and a fitness coach because he is dedicated.

that's what i'm talking about, he needs a new trainer/team

you guys make it seem like a new trainer can't slap his ass back into reality......

men dont go to the army already disciplined soldiers, they need that drill sergeant type of person to mold them........nobody is really born disciplined

Yes but Arreola has to want to change, NO trainer can create greatness it has to come from the fighter, Arreola doesn't want it enough IMO.

I agree. If he gets a new trainer it will only end badly. I can see it happening 1 of 2 ways. Either the trainer gets frustrated and quits or stops giving a **** and just gets the paycheck.

There are literally millions of dollars at stake, if that's not enough to motivate him into shape, I don't think that some trainer up his ass is going to do it.

Doesn't Arreola bloat in between fights though? I heard he went up to around 300lbs and I saw a picture of him either before Adamek or the fight before that, and he was huge. If that's always the case, his trainer is doing a good job in camp, it's when Arreola is out of camp he has issues.

I still think the lack of muscle is more of a problem than his fat though.

Arreola could probably be twice as good as he is if he gets into and stays in shape. He needs to understand that. Hes a decorated amatuer he knows how to fight, and Garcia knows what hes doing. The other guy doesnt know ****, but Arreola needs to get into shape or get out.

It falls on him IMO, and to put it on the heads of his trainers is unjustified. Should his team get some of the blame for not keeping his fatass in shape? Sure, they were enablers, but in the end the blame falls primarily on Arreola. The man had a chance that no other Mexican has ever really had.... to become the heavyweght champion of the world and achieve glory, fame, and riches beyond his wildest dreams and even that couldn't get him to take the sport seriously. I feel no sympathy for him. :verysad **** him because he blew his chance and as a fellow Chicano that straight pisses me the **** off! Way to represent your people, BABOSO! :patsch:-(

You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear........If God himself trained Arreola it would make no difference. Arreola doesn't have the talent or ability to be a top 10 fighter or the champ. He is a top notch B level guy. Losing weight or pumping iron or even steroids ain't gonna help him.....he ain't got it.:-(

Arreola & Bojado = talented, never have beens and never will be's. Both a ****ing disgrace to the sport. :deal

They, like many other newage boxers, will go down in history as overpaid, slackers who had the training, experience, and potential to go far in the sport, but never accomplished much of anything because they're just too damn lazy and flat out ****ing stupid.

Arreola would knock Haye out easily.
