I keep seeing the argument, which is understandable, that Marquez should have won both fights.

Pacquiao improved significantly between the first and second fights but has there been any noticeable improvement since the second fight? Personally, I think the guys he's fought since then have been perfect stylistically for him.

I know Pacquiao would be the favorite but would it mostly be to him fighting at a more natural weight and Marquez simply being smaller? Would it be different at 135?

It is not that Pacquiao is at his more natural weight. Pacquiao just climbed up and still encountered success, his body was able to carry the added weight perfectly, but with it he has also added better technique, refined skills and the discipline to stick to the game plan.

Roach stated this sticking to the game plan and added concentration to development of strategy occurred after the Marquez fight. Pacquiao realized that it wasn't enough to be two-handed with better balance, even with his much-improved technique, against the elite he would need to focus on his opponent much more in order to win decisively. He said so as much in interviews.

It has served him fantastically as he moved up in weight.

It could fairly be called a rubber match if you scored the fights 1-1..not an outlandish thing to do. I'm sure Marquez weighs in around 140 as a lightweight when he's actually in the ring but Pac carries his weight so well I don't think Marquez would deal with it all the way through this time around.I think Marquez would finally be put down.Probably not knocked out but they'd probably stop the fight when his pride is all that's keeping him going.

I think Marquez gives Pacquiao a handful at any weight...his style is just very awkward for Pacquiao. Marquez picked up on Pacquiao's repetitive offense in there bouts and used it against him, but would he be able to do it now...or at 140lbs...doubt it. The smart money would be for a Pacquiao win via decision or TKO at any weight above 135lbs.
I think Marquez definitely deserved another go at Pacquiao...but I just think he would be to big for Marquez now.

Not interested in this anymore to tell you the truth...
I think I've had enough of this, Would rather watch them fight other people with their time left in the game.

Would like to see this. How much has Pac improved since both close fights?

Right now i have no interest in this fight.

But if JMM comes back ad has a couple of good wins over legit opposition why not.

Like Ali had Norton's, Tarver had Jones', Forrest had Mosley's...it is possible that JMM will always have Pac's number. That being said, I think Pac would still pull it off after a tough night.

This fight shouldn't be made. Marquez has declined, Pac has gotten way better. Fighting at Pac's optimum weight. JMM gets sparked in the mid rounds. This fight wouldn't be close. JMM had two great close fights with Pac a third would ruin that as it would be a mismatch imo. I'd like Pac to fight these in order of preference:

    Mayweather
    Mosley
    Bradley
Cotto (if Cotto wins at 154)

would be nice to actually see pac fight someone who is on the way up, or at the top of their game, for once

JMM is on d tail end of his career, while Pac is on his peak plus I dont see JMM being effective above 135

JMM will lose. It's a no-contest and no brainer.

If I was a Marquez fan, this is one fight I would not want to chase. Since their last meeting Pacquiao has become a different animal, so don't go expecting any of the same to occur. Pacquiao would run him through the ground, and knowing Marquez the way we know him (not backing down from nobody), it would be a prolonged punishing fight.
