You know the ref from the Ottke-Reid fight was the same judge that scored it 117-111 for Kessler last Saturday. Roger Tilleman his name is. He's definately on Sauerland's Christmas card list.

Just realised someone else posted this.

As boxing fans we should demand his resignation and suicide.

did anyone mention miranda-abraham I? because that fight for all intents and purpose should have been scored a 5th round TKO and the title should have been awarded to miranda after he shattered the jaw with an uppercut...

I think, the most crazy thing in that fight was the referee trying to get advice from german promouters what to do during that pause in the 5th round.

And btw, I think that german fans shouldn't be offended by this thread at all. Just look at this from another angle. Consider it's a compliment to german judges' creativity and be proud of them .

That outcome would have been as right as a TKO5 for Miranda.

No way. There may be bad reffing/ judging everywhere, but Germany IS different and theres a reason ppl in boxing say you have to score a knockout to get a draw there.

That's a good point. And thats why I think the corruption/cheating that goes on there is WORSE, not better, than more blatant examples.

Another thing thats really unpleasant about the situation in Germany is the fact the fighters seem to be in on the fix a lot of the time. I mean, a bad scorecard is one thing, but a fighter knowing the referee is there to help him is just disgusting. Thats why, I think, the Ottket/reid fight has become so infamous. It wasn't just that the referee was cheating, it was that Ottke KNEW he had a referee on his side and was bitching and complainig to him, and basically telling him how to referee the fight. Just really nasty and unpleasant to see.

Lol yes, because me calling for the resignation and suicide of a proven **** and wishing you Germans murder another 6 million Jews are the same thing.

    You are a giant tit.

    Another beautiful one.
Amin Asikainen vs. Sebastian Sylvester, 2007
Asikainen knocked Sylvester down with the left hook and ref... catches him
