Why shouldn't Floyd think he's better than Ali and SRR?

If he were confident he would fight the cream of the crop. Floyd has said it all himself, I don't know why his ***s, oops I mean fans don't listen. Cotto, Williams, Margarito... They were too much risk and too low reward, Floyd's words. Confident people aren't afraid to take risks.

 

Humility is more important than confidence. Floyd is arrogant but not humble. This is the problem.

 

because the name of the game today is money....the best opponent isn't always the most profitable opponent..

If there was confidence, those fights would not be considered too risky. They would be seen only as big money fights.

 

no because at the time there was more money fighting someone else....every fight is risky...

cuz if he had lost to one of these so called lesser opponents it would have been more detrimental to his career

 

There is always a bias against fighters from the old days. They will always be thought tougher, stronger and more determined due to hard times. The fact is both SRR and Ali lost a lot of fights and got some questionable decisions.

I am not a Mayweather fan and will be cheering for Mosley. But the guy is undefeated and has won titles from 130 to 154. If he beats Shane and Pac he will have to be considered one of the greatest fighters ever.

Why is that so disturbing to so many people?

There was more money fighting someone else so he retires? He wasn't confident that he was going to win any of those fights so he ducked out the back door. SRR would have beat the hell hell out of those three with confidence.

 

If he wants to say he is better then go out and prove it, fight for legacy, not say "I fight for cheques, not legacy". "Were not fighting to prove who the best is".

He can say it all he likes, as long as he goes out of his way to back it up.

Can't believe someone is really trying to argue that Floyd isn't confident even though he's beat world champs, the same guys most people wouldn't even want to be in the ring with, in dominant fashion.atsch

 

He's the greatest fighter of all time... But Paul Williams, Margarito, and Cotto were too risky? that's easy money for the best ever.

 

Mayweather and Calzaghe are bother better boxers than Robinson or Ali.

Only Mayweather has the guts to admit he believe/knows it though.
