Was a totally awesome fight. Froch impressed me...he actually IMO has underrated defensive skills, and is a wickedly large SMW with very long arms.

Kessler, however, stole the show there. He was outsized, really. He was fighting a guy visibly stronger and a bigger puncher than he was, took a good licking but like a true viking warrior, went at him like he had nothing to lose. Terrific performance by both guys and a very A+ level fight.

What was Forch thinking trying to fight on the back foot away from home????? He should have bossed the fight and tried to pressure Kessler.

I've only seen 11 and 12 and scored them both for Froch. I didn't even think those two rounds were close (in the sense that i thought Kessler might have sneeked it). They where competitive but Froch clearly won those two IMO.

Haven't seen the whole fight mind and from everything i've read it was close and wasn't a robbery. Yep hometown decision probably, but Froch did get the benifit of the doubt verse Dirrell, so evens out for me.

Makes the last round of the super6 oh so interesting.

    Thank you. :good

I'm getting tired of these btches crying foul... It was a close fight, and the hometown boy got the nod...(just like Froch/Dirrell)... Get over it! :-(

    This isn't really what happened.

The majority in here (if I remember correctly) thought Dirrell won, and many media around the world (probably at least half).

Whereas for this fight 90% thought Kessler was the right winner, and by far the majority of the media around the world says Kessler won.

So those cases are completely different.

The Kessler-Froch was no hometown decision. 90% thinks Kessler won fairly regardless of where it was.

I have a suspision that some Froch fans got very sensitive after the controversy following the Dirrell fight and they were probably bound to try to shout something back if Froch lost away.

Well, Froch lost - but fair and square - and most Brits recognize this without any problem.. But apparently these few cry-babies are in shock, and cannot understand that Froch could loose a fight.

    Was a draw imo.

If Froch can somehow make the Semi Final and is paired again with Kessler i cant see anything but a Froch win second time round.

mm.. when froch went forward he did better than kessler. still he insisted on going backwards most of the fight. i think he was looking purely for the ko punch.. maybe he had given up winning on points

    Just rewatched the Showtime Broadcast.

Fantastic Commentary. Tarver noticed a lot of what i saw from Froch. His defense was very crafty and he was taking certain shots on shoulders and rolling under and coming back with some hard shots.

    I just scored the fight

Froch 115-113 Kessler. My reasoning for this is..Froch seemed to land the much more crisper and harder shots while his defense at times was showing me that he was in more control of certain rounds. Kessler at times was throwing shots that didn't land and was hit and hurt on a fair few occassions.

In saying this i can see why people score Kessler as win. I cannot see a 117-111 score like we saw though.

It's about what you like. I felt Froch had the better quality to his work and looked in more control although i feel he could of fought a fair bit better i'm still impressed by his display of better defense then in recent outings and his heart. People say Froch was backed up and on backfoot but i feel he did this of his own accord and also backed Kessler up a fair few times.
