I feel the only way to beat Maywether is to have a higher volume of punches, constant pressure, Shane doesn't have that anymore.

Even though compubox doesn't tell the entire story I'll use it for my point.
Mosley landed 178/507 against a far more open Margo over the 9. Against Mayweather with the same volume of punches he'll land far less.

There's only two men right now who can throw 1000+ and nick a decision against Mayweather, Mosely isn't one of them.

Very small chance of a ko.

    Mayweather UD.

Maybe. If his footwork fails OR if Mosley's cutting down of the ring is underrated which could very well be the case.

IMHO, Mosley is a lot like Pac once into combination. You can beat them to the punch and out maneuver them. You DON'T want to be caught flat footed when they start up those "buzz saws". Not many men can with stand that onslaught.

for sure, the movement is something mayweather is gonna need. i think you're bang on and very few could stand toe to toe with mosley right now. mayweather hasn't used a ton of movement since 135 but that's not to say he can't

Agreed. And the Mosley who fought Cotto was not Shane Mosley. I got nothing from that but old age and particularly lackluster performance.

Vernon Forrest presented different stylistic difficulties for Shane. He was taller and fought behind a long jab. Floyd is neither taller nor are his arms longer than Mosley's.

In the Cotto fight it is worth mentioning that while Miguel was given the decision by the judges - he and Mosley landed the exact same number of punches with Shane landing the more power shots and many observers felt Mosley deserved the nod.

Zero. His defense is very much deteriorated as well. Basically what it comes down to is if Sugar Shane can't land a haymaker on Floyd in the first four or five rounds, he is **** outa luck.

Cotto and Vernon have intensley different styles to Floyd and are both more aggressive.

The Forrest who defeated Mosley would have defeated Floyd too.

Every chance my friend; occasionally the past doesn't always dictate what's going to happen in the future. Whilst I expect Floyd to win, I would not be surprised if Shane pulled off an upset - he's world class and definately has more than a puncher's chance to pull this out!
