I don't agree at all. The division had much more talent back then. Take away all the non american fighters and you are left with eddie chambers, thompson, arreola, anyone else? Can you see them competing against holyfield, bowe, tyson just to name a few.
The hw division is in a tragic state right now.

the phrase "Tyson lost once he fought someone good" is one of those phrases that once said should instantly click that the guy knows nothing about boxing and just repeats bull**** that other people who know nothing about boxing says.

The 90's was a damn good era. Tyson, Lewis, Bowe, Holyfield, etc. The state of heavyweight division has been bad in recent years, but it is getting much better now.

Think Wlad and Vit are very good, but feel the current HW division is one the weakest in my time, which includes the 80s, 90s or even if it's not the weakest, it certainly the most boring it has ever been.

    First is reasonable.

    Second is nonsense.

I'll agree here. Its improving. Better fights interesting contenders and young guys coming back.

Though the fights of the 90's were better

    Holyfield Tyson

    Holyfield Bowe

    Lewis Holyfield

Exciting guys like Cooper Ruddock Morrisson Mercer

Plus the excitement of Foreman's return

    90's was a great era

    I agree with this

And Tyson fought incredibly tough opposition he beat world champs Holmes Berbick Tubbs Dokes Thomas Spinks Seldon Bruno Tucker Bonecrusherhow many boxers ever beat so many champs

also beating all the top contenders

the 80's was enough of a career for him the 90's he still did some great things like who ever won the HWT title so fast after that much of a layoff.

But isn't the 90's considered the best HW decade along with the 70's?

If true how can "I don't recall the top 10 or top 5 in the 90s at any time, being anything special anyways." be reasonable?

So to clarify, Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe and to a lesser extent Tyson of the 90's aren't anything special?

The mans comment was "I don't recall the top 10 or top 5 in the 90s at any time, being anything special anyways."

    That includes the above mentioned.
