povetkin vs adamek??

Povetkin would win by late TKO. He would take Adamek´s punches with ease but his pressure, workrate, intensity would get to Adamek. Povetkin would turn this into a war and I don´t think Adamek could win this. I like Adamek more than Povetkin but can´t pick him here with any confidence. Would be a great, great fight though.

 

Povetkin has 19 fights, if he would fight the Klitschkos you guys would whine he is too inexperienced, green and additionally too small.

 

Povetkin outboxes Adamek. Adamek does not have the power to seriously hurt Povetkin.

The same as Arreola wanted to do it ? Bull****. Adamek wouldn't let to make it happen. Adamek can fit to any opponent, Povetkin ain't other.


Also, about Adamek's power I think it's underrated. The fact he couldn't knock down Estrada (who has never been down ) or Arreola ( even Vitali couldn't ) means no ****. Povetkin has never fought somebody like Adamek, so nobody knows nothing about his 'cheen' to be honest. I'm not saying Adamek's power is incredible, buit it's quite ok. He may put him on ass.

Povetkin is nearly as fast as Adamek with his hands, as fast with his feet, has a higher workrate, can cut off the ring and is no stalker like Arreola and has a wonderful bodyattack to slow Adamek down. He has all the tools to beat Tomasz. Oh, and Adamek hasn´t fought a fighter like Povetkin either.

 

But he fought with faster boxers, better technically and with no worse workrate than Povetkin, I mean Cunningham for instance, he ain't as strong tho. Adamek's got bigger experience on the professional rings and been throught big fights/wars. It's Adamek who fits with his style to his oppenent, he doesn't let anyone to make the style fight, the one who did it was Dawson, but I don't consider Povetkin to have such skill to do it the same.

 

Cunningham is nothing like Povetkin. Nothing. He doesn´t put the same pressure and heat on his opponents, does not have the same workrate, his bodyshots are worse and he does not have the ability to cut of the ring Povetkin has. Povetkin is as skilled as Dawson but in a different way.

The only advantages I see Adamek having are slightly faster hands, more experience and perhaps a better chin. Not enough to beat Povetkin imo.

And like I said I like Adamek more so it´s not as if I´m biased against Tomasz or for Povetkin. I just analyse their styles and what they have going for them. Adamek has a decent to good chance but I can´t pick him with confidence. I can do so with Povetkin.

 

that would be a great fight...I'd pick Povetkin. (not as fast as adamek, but has an incredible workrate)...He's endurant too.

 

Despite Adamek's experience he still has his weaknesses, for one he is a very small heavyweight, he's short in height and reach, and that seriously limits to what he can do against the top tier heavyweights. He struggled against Arreola, who terribly sucks.

Povetkin is a much better boxer then Arreola and hits harder then Adamek.

 

Did you watch any Cunn's fight ? Watch FOTY candidate vs Adamek or watch how he schooled your 'champ' Huck or even Wlodarczyk II. You probably haven't seen USS.

Arreola sucks ? I just regret you didn't say it before Adamek fight.

Maybe you're right, but he's much more dangerous, than Povetkin and has got much better resume.

For me the biggest question is , if povetkin chin would hold up? I mean his jaw is enigma t ome he hasnt fought serious puncher in his whole career, Byrd , estrada , chambers they re all soft-fisted.And somebody like Mora had povetkin down in their fight few weeks ago.

Anyway Its the best match-up in the heavyweight division for me , it'd be a war, For sure. Adamek would fight more in his old style not afraid of getting tagged to give back harder himself.

 

I'd have to give this to Povetkin, but then again Povetkin's chin is somewhat untested.

We'll know more once Wlad drops a couple of right hands on Povetkin.

 

povetkin is a bit stationary and has not enough power to hold adamek away which will get him ko'ed later in the fight.

I would love to see Povetkin - Arreola and see how Povetkin deals with a heavy hitter.
