You're obsessed, with Liston, with gorillas and with boxrec!! What the **** are you talking about gorillas again, and Liston again, in a thread about Lewis and Ali?!

Wow , the second time in two days you did not quote me despite seeming to do it.
And you repeat the same method exactly , only capitalized this time.
And this poster is a moderator in this forum.

I exampled the spirit of reasoning in these type of furums.
I really am referring not just to ESB's .

That Liston would beat a gorilla...and then two others....and so that would explain reasoning in a thread for Ali versus Lewis, how?

The thing is , it was a serial lesser performance by Ali , repeated 3 times against the same opponent.

Repeated case over a two days period , just saying.
Probably a mere unintentional coincidence , Bernard Hopkins sort of coincidence .
No one blames you on anything , just saying it as it is.

I wouldn't use norton as an example for Lewis beating Ali, 2 very different fighters in my opinion. Also the Ali that fought Norton was not prime Ali, it was the more stationary, less elusive 70's version.

It would be a tough fight for both fighters as niether of them faced an opponent which could prepare them for each other but I'd favour Ali's speed, jab and durablity to earn him a close points decision.

Norton beat Ali six years after Muhammad's peak performance against Williams. Ken does not manage to get close on the scorecards with the Ali of 1966 and 1967. Chuvalo and Patterson made it clear in no uncertain terms that the GOAT was never the same athlete in the 1970s that he was in the 1960s.

Peak for peak, Ali's faster, takes a better punch, and proved himself over 15 rounds with Chuvalo and Terrell.

Take today's Evander Holyfield / Oliver McCall / Nicolay Valuev / Francois Botha / Ola Afolabi / James Toney / Dominick Guinn and you may have found each one of them fully rejuvenated against Cleveland Williams.
I think the current version of Vasily Jirov will get back to his late twenties against Williams .
    :yep

Norton is and was a mere one year younger than Ali , get over it.

I meant most of those fights , and the important ones in particular.
But you knew that already , didn't you ?
Not specifically Ali-Williams which its only value is to prove Williams was a bum , or more important : how to face a physically gifted bum when you are very much physically gifted , younger and fresher yourself.
